If I was Southgate, I wouldn't take him to the World Cup.

Looks shattered.
Don't think this is the case.

Many times at some point in a season someone has said this, yet I think he's simply not relaxed. He wants that golden boot so badly that it's probably in his mind whenever he comes close to the goal. He needs to focus on the little things again. Take the focus off scoring and the focus on being a key member of our attack.

Well now we're speculating.... Kane has been completely perfect..battled to get to his level , all with one club , no gobbiness , no nightclubs , England captain ,twice Golden Boot and general role model .

Fantastic , lauded to the skies for on and off field behaviour and then..... For the first time (ever ?) he's the butt of jokes , its been said that he's so greedy he steals other player's goals .

I'm not sure he's used to this . Yes its probably his injury that's the main prob for him now, but it was said that he's hurt by this extra
issue . Also maybe he is affected by missing Golden Boot this year , preferring to save himself for WC .

All Speculation of course , but I do hope that the management and staff are on this issue .

I like a Son lot as a player, but we can’t hold the ball up against the better teams when he plays up top.

We don’t have to have a top class back up, just someone better than Jansen or Llorente.

Kane will play against the better teams though.

A few things;

This nonsense about him not being fit. Do you really think spurs would risk a 100M+ asset by letting him play when unfit...the lunacy of some people!

After the injury when he came on for the last 15mins against Chelsea he was full of beans.

Then came the Stoke game. Kane got the last touch for goal, which he said to spurs players when celebrating it. The whole mess is a result of an over zealous F.A taking the goal away from him even before the Stoke game had finished.

Then Kane has to justify the touch and is the centre of the ensuing social media storm.

Since then, he has missed chances that would normally end in a goal & so have others. He has hit a bad patch of form just like others too. At least for Kane being the butt of social media jokes could account for his bad form, what about the other players?

But people want Kane out of the team.... crazy... much like the start of each season he misses at hat full of chances then suddenly....bang...they all go in. Maybe next game...bang.

My personal opinion is that he's playing well within himself (maybe fearing another injury prior to world cup) & has been affected by the social media storm. But I hope I'm wrong and he bags a couple of hat-trick's in the next two home games.

I think Pochettino in an interview alluded to him not being 100% fit, but I don't know where any exact quotes are.

Agree on fitness. Lost track but think he’s played 6 x 90 mins. So what are people suggesting he’s not match fit or he’s getting pain in his ankle. After 6 games he’d be match fit he was only out for 3 weeks. I think it’s confidence/ pride. Since breaking into team it’s basically all gone perfectly and he’s been the golden boy. This is 1st time he’s had to face any sort of adversity. Personally don’t think he is miles off pace was very unlucky not to score yesterday. Unless you’re messi no player will go a whole career with no dips. Just hopefully it won’t cost us a CL place.

Been terrible since injury. He wants that golden boot so bad hes taking his eye off the game a bit. Hes slipping everywhere, falling down, miscontrolling and he looks very lethargic too. I get a feeling hes playing with a niggling injury still.

I'd rest him for two games and trust our players to get the job done, like they did when he got injured.

Def been off form the since his injury. It’s his movement and involvement that have gone missing.

You know Kane is on it when he is dropping deep, playing in his teammates, battling the defenders for every ball. He started to show sings of that last game, but still looks well off confidence in his body to get him there.

He actually looked a bit better fitness-wise against WBA, but still wasn't contributing or getting involved in play as much as he normally does.

Thing is Poch will even more so be reluctant to drop him at this stage. If he plays Kane and we lose not many (at least in the media) will say playing Kane was the reason but if he drops Kane and we fail to win then all the fingers will be pointed at Poch.

I reckon Kane will score of our final 2 games, and well finish ahead of Liverpool. At which point we'll all be singing the praises of Poch and Kane...Alternatively it will get very messy in here, so I'll avoid the general forum for a while and stick to the ITK section

Resting him for the last two games when he wants that golden boot and you can probably kiss goodbye to him wanting to sit down and sign a new contract this summer. It won’t happen. He’ll play and start both games.

Kane is bang out of form but we are so short of goals elsewhere we cannot afford to drop him.

That’s also the point isn’t it. If he’s not scoring then others have to man up and step up and score for us. I think this is where we are really hamstrung by not having people in central midfield who can score goals. It’s an area in the team we won’t score from so we are basically reliant on the attacking front 4 to get a goal. It won’t come from somewhere else, especially as our corners are rubbish.
