There is no need whatsoever for him to play against Switzerland in a meaningless friendly this week, fair enough last night was Nations League but they should let him have a few days off now and get a bit of rest.

I wouldn't put it past fucking Gareth to play him for 80 min

Southgate needs a win. A loss would be 4 in a row. That would be a record amount of England consecutive losses.

He had a knack over the last 3-4 seasons for finding space and being in the right place, this over the past 6 months has deserted him to some degree. He used to score goals out of nothing, but these type of opportunities appear to have presently dried up.

He will be back . But he’s lacking that burst of pace last season in the Wembley game against Liverpool he was possessed the way he played

I agree and it is evident but is the root cause because he is dropping far far too deep? He is literally playing in midfield at the moment and not as a true number nine that he was positioned before.

Also doesnt help when we and England play quite slow. Against Fulham he scored a typical Harry Kane goal and that was because that move was quick and incisive. At the moment our play and England play is laborious.

It may be nothing but Harry has welcomed two children into his family in less than two years. I don't you about the rest of you but having infants and toddlers around will certainly affect your sleep and increase your fatigue!

Ridiculous excuse
As a professional on £200k per week there are plenty of ways to deal with it.

Let's hope he's repossessed this Saturday (and I'm not talking bailiffs )

I am sure that the England captain has desires on becoming the highest goalscorer for his country ever and all these games count!

Perhaps he'd rather have close involvement in his children's early years and do his fair share of the graft than throw money at somebody to do his parenting for him? I don't care how much money I earned you can bet your ass I'd still have insisted on helping with the night feeds with my boy. I'm not saying him having young children is the reason for his dip in form but to rubbish it because he earns a wedge is a bit silly.

It's called being a professional. Comes with the territory.

Do you really think Kane is up multiple times a night feeding etc.

Pretty sure his wife understands and is taking care of it.

People so eager to make excuses for Kane's poor outfield form.

So you agree with me that he's not fucked becuase of his kids depriving him of sleep as that would be unprofessional for a £200k a week footballer. Wouldn't it?

No it's called being a parent, and guess what... it's 2018 and a dad should be doing his fair bit. I'm guessing by the way you're talking you aren't a parent? If you are then I sincerely feel for your partner.

Do you honestly think the football club or his form matters to him an iota compared to his children?

Oh and I'm not making excuses for his form, I personally think it's nothing to do with his kids but you throwing the fact he has money in his pocket as a reason he shouldn't have to be a good dad pissed me off.

I'm not from the snowflake generation no.
I had two kids and my wife gave up work for 20 years to look after them. I'd say she was quite lucky to do so.
She knew that during the week that when I had to work that she would do the nights during the week. I'd of been sacked if I was fucked at work and making mistakes.
I did my fair share at weekends.

p.s Kane can well afford a nanny and I suspect his wife will not be rushing back to work, if she still does.

His kids is simply not a reason for his poor form, or it shouldn't be.

Fair play! I've gone from thinking you're a ignorant millennial to now thinking you're a stone age valued misogynist.

Hardly, it wasn't my choice that she exited from work completely. Her choice. As I said lucky for her we were in the position she could.

This is getting a bit ridiculous.

Firstly, being an attentive and hands on Dad is not only about getting up at 2 in the morning and sterilising bottles and feeding your baby. I have a child and noticed that funnily enough when she was a baby she needing feeding all day as well as the night. Then there’s changing nappies, bath time etc.

I very much doubt that during the season ( and particularly a few days before a game ) that Harry is up and down doing night feeds.

Secondly, as far as I’m aware, Harry Kane is not the first or last PL footballer in his prime to have young children.

We’re in the same position. My wife hasn’t worked since our 6yr old was born. Her choice. She also does much more of the night stuff as if she’s knackered she has more time in the day to cope. Her words.

I’m so tired of twatty ‘progressives’ assuming I’m in some kind of Neanderthal. Harry will be doing very little of the night stuff, it’s not the reason his form has dropped.
