I genuinely think his top priority (trophies aside) is Shearer's goalscoring record, which at his current rate could be achieved in 4-5 years. Then maybe Spurs all time top scorer (although Jimmy Greaves will take some beating).
I'm a bit confused by this - he'll reach the Greaves record you mention long before Shearer's. Greaves' record is 266 goals for Spurs in all competitions (Kane has 147), whilst Shearer's is 260 PL goals (Kane has 113).

When you play 50 games a season and play 90 mins in 95% of them, everyone has a limit.

If the team stopped fucking about when we are only leading by 1 then maybe we would have the luxury of taking him off every now and then. City and Liverpool often do it. 4-0 up with half an hour/20 mins left. Salah and Aguero take a breather.

Maybe he could stop wanting to play every game and drp out of England games with a 'muscle injury'

Kane is his own worst enemy.

Scored his 20th European goal for us last night, now only 2 behind Chivers and 3 behind Defoe in our list of all time European goalscores

Overall he's now scored 147 which leaves him in 5th spot 12 goals behind the great Cliff Jones

He's a driven player who wants to represent his country, he's the captain and is extremely proud every time he wears the shirt.

Pulling out of Internationals is just pure fantasy talk, you don't see Ronaldo pull our of intl football, he wants to get caps and break records and Kane is the same, it what makes him the player he is today.

I don't think Ronaldo has played for Portugal since the world cup.
He definately missed the first set of fixtures, was pictured on a yacht with his family instead. Likewise Messi. Granted they are older.
I admire Harry's attitude and pride in playing for England but I do hope he strikes a better balance as time goes on for the longevity of his career.

I am sure he was disappointed in missing late chances but he was great again last night. The goal, good efforts on goal during the game and the all round play- the setting up of Lamela to hit the bar, for example- were great.
He is the best forward I have seen play for Spurs and anyone who sees that he should be better or we would improve on him, in the real world, rather than on Playstation or something is deluding themselves.

I would say he paced himself last night which I think he does more and more over the last year or so. For the first 15/20 mins he hardly touched the ball (that would never have happened 18 months ago) but as the game played out and after we had gone 1 nil down he stepped it up and in patches especially after they equalised late on and with us down to 10 men he was brilliant (other than not scoring again!)

I must admit I thought Greaves goal count was higher than 266. Maybe I was looking at total career goals!

Perhaps he should look at his weight from 2-3 years ago. Obviously he’s not a lard arse by any stretch but he’s always been a player who maximises his athletic attributes by being at optimum weight and fitness. He certainly bulked up a bit at some point in the last 12-18 months.
Ronaldo and Bale benefitted from adding a bit of size but it’s not for all, especially when he was big enough and strong enough to compete with anyone anyway.

Reckon it doesn't matter if we have a better back up, as Pochettino won't rest Kane anyway. Nor do I think Kane want that rest, more likely he'll be upset if he's not allowed to play everything and go for the records.
Poch had the opportunity to wait on playing Kane after his injury late last season, we were playing some of our best football, there was no need to rush Kane in. Poch did anyway.
Poch still wouldn't rest Kane even if we'd sign Martial. Kane's back up is there to play when he's suspended or injured. Hence why it's beneficial if said player is versatile so he get games. A pure no 9 will only rust at Spurs.

I think most of our senior players' contracts contain very lucrative bonus clauses, that they want to play as much as possible.

I think its pointless signing a like for like to Kane, ultimately theyll get 2 games first half of season and 1 second half of season and not be able to provide much with that lack of game time, that's why I prefer players like Son and Martial, who can lead the line in the event Kane isn't available but also contribute and play with Kane.

Up to 18th ahead of Ian Wrong with 114 in the all time Premier League goalscoring table

For us it’s 114 in 160 in the league

Overall 148 in 226

Crazy numbers for one of our own
