He needs to be dropped.

He hasn’t looked himself once this season and he’s beginning to hold the club at ransom with his performances.

We looked excellent against Bournemouth and Chelsea last season when we had a flowing front three of Son, Lamela and Dele and i’d like to see it used again.

I don't understand why we rotate every single player but him. We rotate the CBs we rotate the attacking mid, the fullbacks, the CMs but Kane never gets rested. We've shown we can win without him, even in big games. He needs to be rested and we need to buy a backup forward that Poch will have more faith in.

Of all the games he could be rested Wednesday would be one. Southampton are dreadful defensively. Surely this could get enough to win game:

Son
Lucas Eriksen Dele
Winks Dier
Davies Alderweireld Foyth Aurier
Lloris

It's not the kane of old, even when he didn't score he was q real handful for defenders. Like Clint Dempsey but good

Many still in blanket denial (including Poch)

It does hurt to have to accept, so I understand.
Thing is, he's still scoring. He looks a shadow of his former self and often significantly slows down our attacking play. But you can't drop him. Saying that, his hold up play is still very good. We could really use a more mobile alternative. Teams like City, Liverpool and (dare I say it) Arsenal all benefit from having more agile forwards. Obviously Kane is world class, but we need another, quicker, forward who can play alongside him or instead of him when needed.

i.e. decent competition/alternate option.

I agree.

No manager in history of the game would drop Kane. And when he plays badly I don't think it's because he is tired. How many times was Suarez rested for Barcelona? Almost never and he is scoring for fun, he is pressing hard and even though he got fatter he doesn't look tired. Rakitić played more football matches than any player in the world last season and he never gets rested. He got injured couple of weeks ago and immediately returned to starting lineup even though he was nowhere near 100% match fitness and Barcelona has 15 other quality midfielders. Kane has stretches when he is unstoppable and when he is useless but you don't know what Kane you will get before the match. Having faster full backs to draw defenders away for him or better midfield to create more chances for him would help. Also I agree that we could use some faster forward to play alongside him. He doesn't look like prime Kane right now but it's very hard to reach that level, especially considering our scheadule so far and the fact that we don't have home stadium advantage. Players always look better when whole team is scoring lots of goals, big difference scoring when result is 0-0 against teams parking the bus and when it's 3-0 at half time.

Needs to be upfront on his own. In the 2 he is floating around too much and not hurting teams where it matters. In the penalty area.

Kane was terrible granted, but every single player was. As a team we were utterly dreadful from back to front and were lucky to only lose 4-2. Much like the Chelsea game last week where the scoreline didn't reflect the game (i.e. a 7-1 win would have been correct), this time if we had lost 6 or 7-2 then I wouldn't feel it was a false scoreline.

Kane is still a world class striker but can't do it all on his own.

Can't blame Kane for that game. Unfortunately a combination of factors including team selection, tiredness, individual mistakes all lead to it.
Unfortunately that came against Arse of all teams but we'll be back.

Genuinely don't think he had a bad game. He was up against 2 and sometimes 3 centre backs. Very close to giving us a 2 goal lead

He should start every game but if we are ever a couple of goals ahead with half hour to go he should then be subbed

He's definitely tired. I blame Southgate for taking him to those stupid Nations League and friendly games. We gave the man a coaching career by producing most of Englands top quality players the least he could have done is let us have Kane for one of the international breaks.

He was outpaced by that lumbering sack of dog shit Sokratis in the 2nd half. Quite a contrast to pace they were able to stretch us with throughout the match.
