Llorente has been in good form this season. His issues last season were entirely down to confidence IMO which does not seem to be a problem anymore. I think he can tide us over until Son returns, which won't be that long anyway.

When Kane got injured last season, Dele, Son, Lamela and Eriksen stepped up as an excellent quartet. We even went a bit cold when we interrupted this and rushed Kane back into the squad.

With Son away as well, hopefully those three and Lucas can step up again.

One man’s crisis is another man’s opportunity. This is seemingly a major blow but I’ll wait until I see how it pans out before I write off the season. Poch is still in charge and he’s made Sissoko unstoppable. Anything is possible.

Anyone who thinks we’ll get a striker or CM is dreaming. We fucked up by not strengthening a squad with 2 perma crocked midfielders and one with dodgy ankles and two bodged attempts to buy an additional number 9.

Nothings going to happen now. We are even happy to let Dembele go knowing the situation. Even if Levy got drunk and decided to throw money around very few clubs are going to want to let their decent strikers or midfielders go mid season and we seem to not deal with the loan system any more.

It’s rotten luck, but if you don’t prepare properly for eventualities life has a habit of kicking you in the bollocks.

Llorente will have to step up and Poch will have to start working out a way to play to his strengths.

Whilst this is not the most important aspect of the situation I would hate for us to play our first game in the new stadium without him in the lineup wouldn’t feel quite right

I think he'll be back well before that happens
