Of course the club (via AG) will deny this as it hurts both Kane’s value (or at least our negotiating position) while also damaging our brand to overseas fans and appeal to the top managerial target (whoever that is). But he wants out - and I really can’t blame him. That doesn’t mean I want him to go but I really struggle to believe that he wouldn’t jump at the chance to play for City in particular.

Pals with Harry Kane are ya?

Let’s be honest, if this is true that he wants to leave, can we really blame him?

He’s the perfect player for city and would probably want to play for pep...

Hurts me to say it

let’s hope he stays for at least another year!

I’m not sure how Kane fits into Pep’s style? He doesn’t play with a striker like Kane. Never has.

Hypothetically...would you lot accept the following with the news that Kane expressed his desire to leave? :

Out:
Kane - £150million

In:
Ings or Toney - £30million
Grealish - £80million
The rest of the remaining £40million on a quality centre back

ffs man. We sell Kane and you think Jack Grealish will join us? Wake up

Maybe he would rather play with de bruyne than sissoko/winks in a final?

To say it’s his fault he hasn’t won trophies is daft mate
Not daft at all. It's not his fault alone but he definitely has to take a share of the blame. I can't remember a final (or even a semi final) where he turned up fully and dominated a game.

the pressure on levy to get the right manager and give that manager a good transfer budget.
He won’t obviously. He’s been pleading poverty every chance he gets this year. Just wait for his chairman’s statement next week. It will be all about how challenging the times have been and how the club will need to recover slowly.

No. Kane's PR team do not get involved in transfer rumours. They don't close things down.

As I said, click-bait.

They hadn’t linked him with a move away for about three weeks so we’re waiting to say something.

For some reason I’m feeling apathetic about it. Much like the manager search. I’m sure I will be furious when it happens though.

This just seems like the most logical scenario. We have a year to turn it around, if not he's gone. Covid has conspired against Kane, he's never going to be sold when the market is down especially when he will retain value to next summer at the minimum and with a high chance that transfer fees could rise quickly again.

I think either by some miracle we win something and get CL football next season he's gone anyway. I'm fine with him leaving as long as it's next season.

Because we’ve played Liverpool and city, who where both much better teams if we are honest

It seems a strange time to announce this while we are trying to lure a new manager. You'd want the incoming to at least think he will have the top scorer still at the club.

Cause he doesn’t have one like kane you put him in that squad and it’s as if the jigsaw is complete and city will 100% win the quad

Do you really think anyone on Kane’s side would feed this information to Sky when we’ve got two games left to go with Europe still to fight for? He may well want to leave but he loves the club and wouldn’t ever try to damage our chances of Europe by putting this out now. The timing is all wrong.
