Purely hypothetical situation, but how would people feel if we lost Kane and Son but ended up with a front line of Zaha, Daka and Traore (or something similar)? We'd probably have money left over to chuck at a quality CB as well.
Don’t know enough about Daka, but there is a reason Zaha and Traore play in mid-table squads.

Traore is shite if it’s the villa one, my mate who is a villa fan calls him the worst footballer he has seen since Andy Reid

Meant Adama at Wolves. Was just trying to put together a front line with frightening pace to see if that appealed to anyone.

If you mean Traore from Wolves then no. I think he could be a good impact sub but nothing more.

3 young, attacking players with huge potential is something I would support though.

Spurs fan: "we need a complete rebuild, Levy needs to spend money and get the players we need to win trophies, we're years away from challenging the top clubs"
Spurs player "I want to be winning trophies, I don't want to have any regrets"
Spurs Fan: "Get this guy out of our club!, he's not a club legend if he wants to leave"

Cracks me up that Kane is our most ambitious player and gets criticized for it. This is all on Daniel Levy, it's 100% up to him to match the ambitions of Kane. If he doesn't match it then there really is no point keeping Kane. He talks about wanting to build one of the best and biggest clubs in the world. Time to deliver!

The 1st and 2nd Spurs fans are different people. This is just a hypothetical example of different people having different opinions.

My point isn't about trophies bro, it's about progression.

The progression comes hand in hand with competing for trophies, I think if we were still challenging and in and amongst the CL places he'd want to stay or at least stat longer but subsequently we have fallen back.

He did say last year that if Spurs remained competitive he'd stay but we aren't.
Fair point

And yet a large percentage of the fan base were wanking themselves stupid because Levy hired the 'guaranteed winner' Mourinho to try to address that issue. Kane has also played a pretty big part in our inability to win trophies. He hasn't showed up for the big matches at all.

Thing is the most ambitious thing he can do is reject all bids for Kane, which should make Kane happy anyway.

Anyone know where this was said. I’m fairly sure it wasn’t in the Delaney one from this morning. Has this account just made this up?

No idea but I believe Haaland is a more typical City target. I am putting my hopes in City going all out for him.

I just don't see Kane going to Chelsea.

I think they will go for Ings this summer as a stop gap and Haaland next
Maybe but Haaland would surely be open to a move to City and with the financial situations of clubs running on their own earnings might be more open to selling.

With Aguero leaving I see City wanting a top replacement right now.

I just think if they really want Haaland and dortmund don’t want to sell until next year, then they will be happy to get someone like Ings in as they survived this season without aguero and Ings can play all across the front three. Obviously the market for Haaland will be huge next summer but I suspect we will all know his club before then (should he not go this summer).

I guess I have missed something. Why next summer for Haaland?

And the main thing that has kept a lid on City's spending was their previous run in with FFP which now seems all but defunkt.

Set the price at £200m and give them until pre season starts to pay up(not when Euros end - pre season is when the manager will really start to put his plans in motion, we need this settled by then). If they don’t, he stays. This cant turn into a saga. The new manager needs to know. The squad needs to know. Kane needs to know. This cannot go on past the start of pre season.

Hasn't he scored against all the top clubs and the likes of Barca and Real Madrid, not to mention won a golden boot at the world cup. Do you mean he didn't turn up for the CL final or Carabao Cup when he was clearly injured? I don't get why Kane is singled out when you have players like Son or Eriksen who have done no better and had no injuries. If anything Kane is over played and over relied on to produce a trophy for us. Bale didn't do it either but people don't even mention that and wouldn't consider not calling him a club legend.
