Yeah that's his only option though....if we were competing winning he'd stay with us....he warned us about this 4 plus years ago and repeated it on numerous occasions. It's THFC hierarchy who have got us to this point not Harry Kane.
Yes but when you have teams like city and Chelsea spending billions over 10 years how are we going to compete. The fact city is going to spend quarter of a billion maybe more in just one window. How are we going to compete? They are just buying trophies. It’s not a football club it’s a monopoly. How many youth players have city bought through in the last 5 years? 1? That’s not a football club.

At 28, you can't blame him. At all. We had our chances and the management blew it.

It's going to hurt like he'll seeing him play for another team, same happened with Kyle Walker watching him play for City was gut wrenching.

Having said that our hierarchy are FULLY to blame for this mess. From the moment Poch became manager no wait the season before already we knew we had a world class talent. We should have invested better in the squad. So this move happening is purely on the club.... if we were winning trophies challenging for titles he'd likely have stayed until retirement...we've regressed and that's the price we will pay.

So no I'm not going to turn on Harry Kane....he is doing what's best for his legacy in football. My only hope is that we invest WISELY so that we get back into the top 4. Not only get back in but start to challenge like we did under Poch and actually win stuff.
he had his chances and he is part of the failure. from ENIC, the board, the managers (Poch and Mourinho), the players no one should be exempted from the responsibility to deliver

In a final form goes out the window. Look at city vs Chelsea CL final . Everyone thought city was going to walk it but Chelsea ended up turning up. We would of beat Liverpool of Kane and co turned up. He’s had chances to win the biggest prizes but didn’t turn up on the biggest stage.

If H was to leave, it is completely my own opinion but I think we would try and bring in Martinez and Vlahovic as replacements.

I love H but it's clear he wants to leave and so if the required bid comes in, it's sadly going to be time to part ways.

One thing is for sure, if City want him, they need to move pretty quickly as we won't be left chasing replacements with a week or so left in the window.

Will City put in the required bid? Yes they probably will as with H and Grealish they will be even more formidable than they already are.

Yeah I’d like to think that our Fabio will have put a date on any bid coming in. Just like he does with buying players and giving a deadline on when the deal must be done.

We would want atleast two weeks to find replacement I would imagine.

Levy will want £150m absolute minimum imo. I just don’t see how City can possibly do that and Grealish without having FFP all over them unless they sell maybe Mahrez and another and claw back say £80m even then it will be tight on FFP.

Would be much more than £150m mate and yes they will have to sell a few players to fund the deal. I would imagine the likes of Silva, Mahrez and Jesus could be the players they would look to move on.

It's too late for this to happen now and us to fully maximise selling him IMHO.

The club is probably better off keeping him for one season in the hope he gets us back into the CL or at least EL. That income alone will be worth the diminution in any fee for Kane and would likely make us more attractive for replacements.

Vlahovic is a big prospect but that is a massive downgrade on Kane.

I can’t see us getting top 4 with Kane tbh.
We are linked with some good players but need to get these in plus a few more, and then them all slot in the starting 11 immediately to have a chance.

He could win 10 titles at City and all of them would amount to less than one at Spurs.

yes but it’s the one at Spurs that hasn’t and isn’t likely to ever come - or that’s what his desire to move seems to implicate

A lot of emotional comments in here about how he has let the club down but at the same time we have gone massively backwards since 2018

and I think he’s always been consistent that he would stay with us if we were progressing and showing positive development and that he wanted to win titles

Maybe now we are finally doing the rebuild we needed under someone competent we have a chance of getting back into the top 4 at best given the quality of other squads in the league

Will Harry be at Hotspur Way on Monday?

That’s the big question. If he turns up and trains then fine. If he plays some part in the next two friendlies then even better. If none of that happens we will have a big problem.

his "we just didn't have the mentality, we weren't men" argument makes me seethe, because a) the best run this club's had in my lifetime happened with him on the sidelines and b) he's played in four finals for club/country, scoring 0 times.

But we wouldn’t have got to those without him and his contribution at some stage.

Isn't FFP suspended due to covid? If it is, this may be their only chance to spend the required amount without it impacting elsewhere.

Wheres this news come from?

One Telegraph article that was mainly about Grealish but some about Kane wanting to leave. There was no new news in it though.

Hercules also said he’s being difficult.

There’s been no change on us changing our not for sale stance.

I suspect the Telegraph article was released to coincide with his return to training and probably a move by City to get him to agitate for a move.

People will need to strap in. The shit is about to be ramped up considerably. It’s going to be annoying.

If Pep gets Grealish and Kane that will take his spending to over 1 billion. If he still fails to win the Champions League then they may as well have just appointed Neil Warnock.

Anyone subscribe to the telegraph? The story is behind a pay wall. Thanks in advance
