If Enic have a collective brain cell between them they'd be getting in replacement strikers now...have some foresight for Once and buy wisely. Spend their OWN money like Liverpool, City, Chelsea have done over the years and at crucial periods... this is such an instance.
Agreed. I strongly think we should be going out and getting Danny Ings in. With a year left on his contract could Southampton turn down £30m? He's the best striker available with premier League experience and likely to join.

So...the Sun was spot on, wonder if their price was accurate?

They were not spot at all ? ..... Harry will not be sold for 150-160M and nothing was ever discussed or agreed at all between the clubs for that measly figure, both confirmed and denied very quickly after the Sun's bogus front page drunken gooner charlies nuptials BS ... which was followed up by our own ITK saying its B***S*** just front page sensationalism ... its Dirty Charlie propaganda offensive unfortunately

Sorry why would any City player want to leave guaranteed trophies to come to us? Kane wants to go to City for that reason. We won't get any players in exchange. They'll have to sell to make up the money.

They already have a stack of medals if they’ve been at City a few years. They may just want to play.

If we could convince Laporte to come here plus a big chunk of cash I think it’d be good business. He will want Real or Barca but I don’t think either can afford him so maybe we have an opportunity to poach him if he has the hump with City. Him and Romero would be immense.

Also love Bernardo Silva but I’m not sure he fills such an immediate need in the squad.

Somewhere around 120 plus Laporte could work for us. Without Laporte we should hold for 180.

This one will go right down to the wire. He certainly isn’t going to be sold to them ahead of the opening game.
I think that, financially, City will win this one as they will get him for substantially less than the mooted £200 million that Levy wants.
I think it’s going to be £160 million and done on deadline day.

Paratici clearly knows the plan and this is why we are targeting strikers in the 40-50 million bracket rather than the 20 mill bracket.

As for Kane himself, I’m reminded of some song lyrics by Gloria Gaynor.
“Don’t turn around now, cos you’re not welcome anymore.”

If that happens I can see us being left high and dry without a replacement. Nobody is selling us a striker of the required ability on deadline day. If it happens, it has to happen, from our point of view, in the next ten days. Paratici is known to put deadlines on things. He will have to here. If he does and it goes past that date and we hold firm and refuse to deal it will show we have the balls for it and things really are different. If not and levy let’s him go in the last week then we will know nothing at all has changed behind the scenes.

Cannot see any of the suggested Citeh players coming to Spurs. Bernado, Mahrez, Jesus - no chance. They wont come to spurs despite Citeh pushing them. Not to mention their wages but they'll all want CL footy clubs if we're forced out. I'd rather rinse them for pure cash and get players who want to play for THFC.

The sad thing there is no good scenario for us with him leaving, people saying we get the money reinvest and get better, I think they are going to be in for a rude awakening, it sounds promising with the new director of football, but he hasn’t proven anything yet, neither have any of the likely new signings. Playing in the premier league is a totally different kettle of fish. We have a long history of pissing money away on shit. Kane’s goals are going to be hard to replace, I think the likelihood of champions league football is non existent in the coming years without him, his goals give us our best shot, so keeping him and the potential money it would bring means I would hold him to his contract.

I think more than just Kane staying I'd like to see him want to stay but I don't think that's the case, he would have done if we'd lived up to his expectations and won even one trophy.
Step back from the Spurs angle and imagine if he played for Southampton, wouldn't we be saying he deserves to be somewhere he can win trophies? Be honest you know we would and that's what other people are saying, it hurts but I'm inclined to take it on the chin an move on.
On the positive side I am getting a good feeling about what's going on at the club right now and if we can bring in the right players, which seems promising, we will be back challenging again soon.
If Harry goes I won't abuse him I'd like to part amicably though I won't wish him luck and then when he's gone we start a new era, new stadium, new manager, new team, a new future. A New Hope.

I think it would be players not getting much first team football.

Laporte appears 3rd choice. If Kane goes to City then Jesus is further down the pecking order.

In recent years City have sold players to RB Leipzig, Wolfsburg and Benfica. We’re more attractive than those sides.

Nathan Ake would come to us and be our first choice left centre back. If we wanted him as part of the deal of course.

Both the Bundesliga and La Liga have had 'surprise' winners though. Dortmund and Wolfsburg not that long ago and Atletico only last year. The likelihood of that happening in the PL is getting reduced year on year.
Did I imagine Leicester winning the league?
