The backtrack begins? Or Sky etc. jumped the gun?
Would not surprise me one bit that Sky are once again just making shit up, state of journalism these days, the truth is the last thing they are concerned with and the first is money.

People have laid into him since the start of his time in the first team.
Not to this extent and he's always had backers, most of all Spurs fans who he is now mugging off. I also think it has bothered him that people have laid into him 'One season wonder' and all that, wanting to prove people wrong. It can be good motivation but I think this will have unsettled him a bit.

I can see why people would say this and it might be right. Or those of us who said we don't know the facts might have had a point. Or even a cocktail of the two.

We'll probably never know the truth of it all but it's obvious what the 'popular' view will be.

Surely if the club were aware all along, they would have informed one of the many journalists yesterday. The only 'club informed' info that came out yesterday, as far as I could see, was Dan KP saying that the club are looking to fine Kane heavily for not turning up?

Exactly, the no comment from the club was damning. He has clearly missed two days of training, probably been shocked by the massive backlash from everyone in the game and is backtracking to save face.

Kane hasn't bottled it or given up.
Kane & his entourage have clearly left a marker that he will do whatever it takes to leave the club.
Pretty sure , plan was always throw toys of pram for 2 days, then shut up and train behind scenes till City show up with bid.

We should be fine with that arrangement. Give time for City & Spurs to settle on a bid and for us to make the moves as silent as possible....
He is a goner.

It's the "blown out of proportion" bit i'm most interested in hearing from Harold

I'm guessing it's the "no show" element that's blown out of proportion. I'd guess Kane feels he is on agreed leave but the press are taking this as a "strike".

Well City better offer the proper market rate then not some weak £130m bid.

He is a goner.

He either goes full rogue or remains professional. These two days are not a marker, they show Kane as extremely naive and backtracking on a mistake and his brother as extremely amateur advising him.

Given the club has made making mistakes an art form, I don't see how we can discount them just getting it wrong yet again.

Sky are gonna be devastated. Lol.
They don't give a shit about the facts, just the clicks and traffic. If/when Kane returns to training they'll make another story about "Kane's sensational u-turn" and then continue to flip-flop on a daily basis
