I can see a Dominic Cummings Barnard Castle Specsavers style explanation coming soon from Harry

The club, and by some extension ENIC, gave Kane the best stadium in Europe to ply his trade in, the best training facilities in the world to hone his craft, made him our highest paid player ever by some margin. It tried to hire Mourinho to deliver trophies, making him the third highest paid manager in the world. They signed Ndombele, Sanchez, Lo Celso, and other expensive players like Bergwijn, Lucas, Aurier, Reguilon, Sessegnon and Son - trying to build a team that could compete, and for a few years we did. It fell apart somewhat last few seasons, but I don't believe the club haven't tried to meet Harry's ambitions.

We got to the biggest final in club football and he forced his way onto the pitch half-fit and hampered our only chance of ever winning it - the club/Poch gave him that chance, even though we got to the final without him. We got to the league cup final and he touched the ball about three times - other semi finals he never ever turned up, he is never there when it comes to crunch time. Zagreb - anonymous. He's had numerous chances to win trophies with us, and as our talisman and striker - he personally has faltered just as much as the club.

Some of you are so toxic about the club, you would rather slander it instead of the guy basically going on strike to engineer a cheap move to a domestic rival. Not Real Madrid like Bale, he wants to force a move to a financially doped artificial club - massively weakening us in the process and happy to ensure we're not fairly compensated for the massive amount of resources we've piled into his development and maintenance.

THIS

Especially the bit about winning (or not in our case) trophies. We could have won the league twice, the CL and other trophies along the way. Whilst i am not blaming Kane for us not winning, the half fit inclusion in finals no way helped our cause and it wasn't only the CL final that it happened.

I am truly gobsmacked at the hate being slung in Harry's direction. Everything he's ever done for the Club forgotten in a moment because of bollocks thrown about in the media that's probably grossly inaccurate. Everything is landing on Harry's head for the last few years of Levy's mismanagement and Levy walks away without a smear. That's just fucking wrong.

Are you Charlie Kane indisguise?

did you see what I did there???

There is absolutely no excuse for any professional footballer to refuse to train.
None.
It's despicable behaviour and the fact that it's Kane, doing it to Spurs is disgusting.

There are ways to behave and this isn't the way.

At the end of last season we all could see Harry's position and, given the football the team played last season, understand him wanting to move away while wanting him to stay. He is a great player and would improve any team.

BUT - if he thinks that we should let him go on a discount to Man City (who will undoubtedly go and buy yet another defender with the money saved), using the media and not turning up to training to force the position; well he can whistle for it! £50m means a lot more to us than City.

If he wants to engineer the move then get onto City to make the £150m+ cash bid and then leak that to the press.

Also if I was him I would bin his brother and bring in a wartime consigliere who would ensure that City do what they need to do, he gets his 'dream' move while not laying waste to his reputation.

you know, it wont happen but i'd love the club to release a statement condemning him & stating he will be fined etc, saying he is still a THFC player and until our valuation is met, he will remain so regardless of his actions to engineer a move - put the spotlight on him! and let him cave.

And Levy appears to have helped us lose everything else but that's just fine.
Levy has made mistakes. And, I wish he made better personnel decisions over the year

But Levy’s priority has always been to act in the clubs best interest. He did not always make the right calls, but it was never a lack of ambition.

I think Kane has shown himself to be a selfish prick. He does not want Spurs to win trophies, he wants Harry to win trophies.

You are confusing 2 different things...

a) "The mess we are in is down to Levy & Levy only. If Kane leaves because of it, I get it " -> Most fans will be on board with it.

b) "Harry not being a pro in not turning up for preseason and abide by his contract..."--> Most fans will hate this attitude from any highly paid footballer.

Last days hate against Kane is on later, nothing to do with former.

Okay, I don't want to be a troll so I'm going to shut the fuck up now, but I'm deeply ashamed of Spurs and what it's become. There's nothing left of it. It's all moneyball. Good luck with your Club.

Sky Sports obviously have a direct line into Charlie Kane. They just said he is making a temporary protest. The back tracking has begun, trying to spin it.

Sorry but this is ridiculous. They seem adament that we agreed to sell him for some sort of specific number. City have only bid 100 million, there is no way Levy would have agreed to sell Kane for that.

I really don't know if Kane will stay at Spurs now, I would imagine if City come up with the money he will be gone, but it seems they have no intention to. If they did, why haven't they made a bid already?
