Mate I'm pretty close to the Grealish situation and know full well what's going on. As of this morning there is a contract on the table from Villa and a deadline set with City. One phone call from City as things stand and he goes there.
Interesting that they seem to be front spending the sale money as well though - if they do keep him they will have a very good set of AM’s

If true, this is huge.
And I wouldn't be at all surprised. They thought they'd try at £100m & hope that we'd cave in to an unhappy player.
Increasing by circa 40% is a big call, even for them.

I think if the Romano/McGrath twitch later say the same thing it will be very interesting indeed.

Charlie Kane's a gooner
He really is a tw*t
He's got his brother in deep shit
Levy says thanks for that

Oh the joys of being a Spurs supporter- the roller-coaster ride of our lives.

I don't think they can afford both and that's the problem it's one or the other.

Maybe Man City have told Kane this and that’s why he’s chosen the nuclear option. Force a move but refusing to train, hopefully it will make levy cave on the price and they’ll be able to pick him up. If not, they’ll go for Grealish.

It sounds mad they would do that with Levy’s reputation but let’s not under estimate their misplaced arrogance.

I really hope Grealish stays at Villa. They have exiting project and he can be the main part of it. This would be interesting (y)
And at this point I hope we sell Kane :shifty:

Have we had any confirmed ITK/confirmation that Kane is indeed protesting and skipping training? The DM article (I know...) stating he's isolating and this is all much a do about nothing does question things a smidge, especially as no clarification from the club. Logic would suggest if he was just isolating then returning as planned the club would have briefed that by now.

And all his English teammates have returned to their clubs.
I really want to know what is going on in his head right now. Is he still determined to leave? Or maybe he is doubtful because of the backlash from fans/media and complete silence from City.
I think he has lost the plot. Completely

Is it "official" that Kane is actually on some kind of strike?
Well, there goes the status as Spurs legend. He has efficiently ruined his own reputation in under 48 hours.

Silly thing is, if Kane waived his loyalty fee, and his brother took no commission, as they can deal direct with City they’d be no agent fees. All of that would ‘save’ City about £30-40M (which would be siphoned off if super agents were involved). If it was all about football ambition then Kane could work with City to make a serious bid. Instead he’s naively striking as City won’t bid what he is worth. Mug.

So sounds like City might come back next year with an offer they can afford and hope we’ll accept. In the meantime, Kane looks like a greedy, selfish twat with zero loyalty to the club that nurtured him and rewarded him handsomely. At least his overreaching influence at the club should diminish now and the fucker can learn to earn his place in the squad in key games based on fitness and not reputation

completely agree with this POV. Kane should lose his vice captaincy and all this playing him till he drops because he’s chasing personal records needs to stop.

Why does it matter if he hands in a transfer request? We still need to be offered what he's worth

I think it is because he gives up his slice of the transfer fee (possibly around 10% ??), so we get more of the cut, so the value we agree to sell at can be slightly less.

i.e. we might accept 140m, if we wanted to deal at 160m

I don’t think he’s outgrown us in the slightest.
With a touch more luck or more conviction he could have won several trophies with us.

he and most of the team didn’t turn up to the finals.
His attitude is implying the team, not him wasn’t good enough.. what a ‘team player’…

man City, real, PSG all won without him. We can too, if we focus on a-great team/squad instead of worrying about him.

As much as I detest his actions, I can understand him wanting to be playing CL football and challenging for the title. While we were doing this (certainly the former) he was happy, hence signing numerous contracts.

But the fact is we've been on a downward trajectory for 2 years, he's heading into the 2nd season of no CL (during his prime) and are in a transitional phase where a top 4 finish, even with Kane, would be a very decent achievement.

He's the best striker in the league and one of the top 5 in Europe, I'd say he's outgrown the club in it's current state.

Say it louder for people at the back.
We’ve only got 1 man to blame and it isn’t Charlie or Harry.

we spent 10 weeks to find a manager and ended up appointing a guy who got sacked from 14th place Wolves.
Find it embarrassing people are slating Kane for wanting out. I want out.
