Getting really tired of the line: “If Kane does not secure his move to City he will obviously make himself available for selection, as he already has done”.

No he hasn’t, if you’re not fit, you’re not available for selection. Reading it next to a line saying he’s not expected to travel to Portugal just reinforces that
If he moves, I guarantee he’ll be available for City’s next game.

If this drags on I wonder whether he’ll start having niggling injuries that keep him out of games?
Ultimately, there’s only one league match he can drop, that’s this weekend. I can’t imagine he was actually down to play much part in conference league and the Watford league game, right before deadline, would be a stupid time to mess about as too late and damaging to a player that for sure would be staying, by then.

I admire him as a footballer, which is a far cry from my view of him a few months ago.

My angst in all of this, no matter the money or who is buying the players it’s virtually impossible to replace him.

However, since Sunday (just a game and not a barometer) is that level of effort and unity needs to be a benchmark.

£125m and Bernardo Silva, I’d be tempted to deal. If Silva is on wages that we can broadly accommodate.

Agree with all of this. However, my price would be £125M and Laporte. Experienced, left sided centre back to partner Romero. Use the money to buy Vlahovič and a creative / attacking midfielder. Key thing is the level of effort and unity that you mention. It is key to our season.

Actually I think we need to do a Villa here.

We need to buy some quality players NOW whilst reiterating that Kane is staying. Otherwise any selling club will up their prices knowing we have Harry money.

The whole thing is a clusterfuck and although the window so far had been good, we've once again left it until the last couple of weeks and we are most likely going going to lose who could be comfortably considered our only world class player.

Does anyone think that for the sake of the team unity, just to sell now?

Don't fall for it, this is exactly what they want. He can go if City bid what we want. We absolutely should not buckle and sell him on the cheap because of pressure from articles like this. That's proper amateur hour.

They have had a complete shocker here with the latest press releases via journos !
They know we wont respond in the media as why do we need to or would we?
Everyone on this site clearly understands the situation and has done for well over a week or longer.
We all know how this will go down and wont do anything to help or assist their cause.
Its just amateur hour and rookie mistake after another.

What’s nuts is that they’ve just persevered with one stupid strategy after another. You would have thought after one disastrous PR attempt, maybe two max, H would have reflected and thought “maybe we should change tack here”.

I find it baffling.

Just throwing this out there…

In Kane’s own mind, if he’d have have tried a bit harder and not been shit in the league cup final, helping us to win it, it’d mean he’d have to stay…

Now that there are so many questions about his so-called professionalism, it does make you wonder if his heart was really in the final.

Do we think his and his camp's actions this summer will impact his England status?

I personally would like to think it will. The England captain is supposed to be a leader, the one everyone looks up to and is the epitome of a professional.... This summer is seeming to prove he is miles off that

Well I was hoping his no show at training would've caused Southgate to speak to him and tell him to get his fucking act together and stop being a petulant child, but i don't think he would have.

There was talk that Southgate was less than amused by his carry on, but I don’t think it would impact his England status as far as losing the captaincy or anything

It's just a blatant lie. There's no way Levy would entertain this notion of "If we haven't won a trophy this season yeah it's fair for Harry to leave".

I think it was more the FA/sponsors grumbling than Southgate himself.

Indeed. If we're told that he's not playing because he isn't fit enough I don't buy a word of it. Not being fit enough has never been a reason to not start him in the past!
