Kane staying and continuing to bang in regular goals for us is the best outcome from this scenario. Yes, shiny new signings from overseas are exciting, but there’s no guarantee that Vlahovic, Martinez or anyone else will adjust to the EPL - we’ve all been here and seen it before with Soldado, Jansen, Vinicius, Ndombele, Lo Celso. Why would they prefer ‘revenge’ against us to getting their target signed and playing in City colours. They need him ASAP as the league is going to be tight at the top this year. Similar to when people say Chelsea make signings to spite us it’s just not how things work in my opinion.

If he doesn’t go, it’s clear they never wanted him that much. At the end of the day, if they want someone, they get them.
