Sherwood on soccer Saturday having little digs covering city's game, " I can't understand why Harry Kane would want to come here" after a ball was put into the box. Also said it will be done in the last 2 days of the window as "that's when Daniel likes to do his business".

Was going to DOH this, but then realised it was Gilet boy saying it and not you haha

Levy literally did this once, 10 or so years ago. Why the fuck do people keep banging on about it like it’s a regular occurrence

If we don’t get a DECENT replacement, I do not expect Kane to go. It would be fucking Lynch central of Levy and (I hope) he knows it

I just want this put in the background now. Obviously we can only be sure on Sep 1st but if he's still here I'm fully behind him. He's our best chance of getting back into the CL. It might actually work best for him if he still wants to move too. If we get CL we're in a better position to bring in replacements.

With more names being crossed off the list I'd be a bit worried if he was to go now. What business could we realistically do to reasonably compensate for losing Kane now?

Should say "had" rather than "has".

The words are not aligning properly. When you click on the tweet, this is how it looks

I do think Kane will be on the bench. He is still a **** in my eyes but if he plays he plays and hope he does well but still a ****.

I think I'm right in saying, Trix said a while ago (maybe a week or so) that Southgate & The FA were not happy with the utter lack of professionalism shown by Kane when he decided to take it upon himself to take the extended break, and his conduct leading upto Trix hearing what he did.

So putting 2 & 2 together, Southgate has played a big part in Kane getting new representatives & also getting him to knuckle down and do the job he's so fucking handsomely rewarded for.

Did you see the henry winter article from the times, that @mickeybaz kindly posted in full yesterday?

It sounded like exactly something Southgate would say on the situation. Almost like a briefing from the England manager.

Unless we put out a statement declaring that Kane is going to be staying for the season, I really can't see this being over quite yet unfortunately. I don't think any Spurs fan would be massively surprised if we did a deal in the last 48 hours of the window.

Why do we need to put out a statement or a public one? If there was a deadline that’s passed we probably would have told city by now. Might explain why Pep said he’s happy with his squad.

Because uncertainty destabilizes the team. The sooner we can get a settled squad the better.

Edit: Don't know why destabilizes is bold :ROFLMAO:

BM seems to be torn between "we won a game so we don't need him", and being convinced it's done and everything else is PR gamesmanship.
