“we had no intention of paying the asking price, so the club did everything it could to tap him up, unsettle tottenham hotspur, and try and drive the price below his market value despite signing another england player for 100m earlier this summer and the fact that we’re backed by unlimited amounts of blood money that needs laundering.”

get fucked, pep. get fucked.

What utter nonsense from Guardiola.

They didn’t offer the correct fee, there’s no master negoatiator Levy in that and they certainly didn’t ‘do all they could’.

What a fucking bellend he is.

I really hope Kane destroys them next time we play to show them what they missed out on by valuing Grealish more than him.

Pep just said we are not going to pay 200m and Tottenham would not negotiate.

That was clearly the price then.
Just trying to appease the fans. It was no where near that much and he knows it. He's right that we refused to negotiate though. We set the price and wouldn't allow it to become the car boot sale haggle city wanted.

Bah, he's a joke, honestly. Has only ever known the elite football bubble. La Masia product, straight into "managing" some of the best players who've ever played the game, and since then two super clubs who always win and have unlimited resources.

He has no concept of the real world. I'd take Jose every day of the week, a man who played proper lower league football, and made his career off genuine football knowledge.

He may be a spoilt, entitled manchild but he's still less objectionable to me than the Portuguese Dementor.

I really do not think City will be in for him again now. The sheer arrogance Pep has shown there has actually blown my mind alittle.

I’d certainly refuse to negotiate with them in future out of the PRINCIPLE! ??

They can stick their dirty money.

All the money Guardiola has had to splash and he still manages to have glaring gaps in his squad - he still hasn’t managed to ever properly resolve left back and having only Jesus as their one established centre forward is laughable (yes I know we only have Kane before anyone says but we don’t have as much dosh plus Kane is much better than Jesus so players fear competing with him for a spot).
