Do you think he could do it this season? He has got 4 goals already.

Who knows but I do think it's a stretch for him to get 22 more goals in the PL this season, based on his recent goal tally's. The way he's started though, he could quite easily reach half that amount by the WC.

Yeah fair point 22 is a lot. Although he has 4, if we really hit form I could see Kane having a 26 goal season.

The sudden blast of negativity in the discussion thread + Harry’s contract being on the agenda + @Archibald&Crooks comment
I think this one is going to be a slow burner. Could be January, could be next summer. Might even not happen, anything can change, but the next two transfer windows are, in my onion, crucial.

have gotten me a little concerned…

Still looked a bit heavy legged for me and not as quick to spot or execute passes as when he's really on it, but getting there. (Slowly ;))
Touch back to its best though.

How many goals is he away from Greaves’ Spurs record now? Surely he breaks it this season if he stays fit. It would be a wonderful achievement.

Maybe, but it’s 22 in 32 games? He isn’t firing fully yet and neither is the front 3. Hopefully we start putting 4 or 5 passed teams like Fulham yesterday where we easily should have.

He always has started seasons like this where he looks slightly leggy etc but now with the added benefit of five goals in six. I know we have had more games in August than in previous years but im sure this August was his best yet.

He is definitely getting there though

On the goal front, he is missing more chances than he should be, penalty miss and one or two others against Forest, and previous to those games against Wolves and even Southampton. A firing Kane would be on eight by now. Think he can go above Rooney this season but needs his absolute scoring boots on throughout the season and has started well.

And the Bayern links are back again. For those who don’t follow German Bundesliga, Bayern have form for tapping up players. They go for the top players at a club, and begin to try and unsettle them with comments about how wonderful they are. They often use the gutter press, such as Bild as a mouthpiece.

Then, as the contract negotiations begin, they gazump the amount offered.

Just look at these selected highlights of free transfers to Bayern: Lewandowski, Goretzka, Nubel, Nianzou, Richards, Mazraoui. All players who the “selling” club would have wanted a lot of money for.

I hope Conte, Levy and Paratici can put together more wins, more significant signings and keep Kane focused on doing the job for us.

You may have noticed I don’t like Bayern. I would start a “let’s all laugh” thread, but sadly there isn’t much to laugh at. They drew this weekend, it’s probably the worst result they will have in a while ?

It’s laughable they think they would entice him away from the PL, can’t imagine he goes anywhere else until he is well clear of the record

United are the ones I would be worried about if he runs down his contract

We need to get him signed up asap

Bayern are an awful outfit. Always tapping up players from other clubs and vengefully hitting out at anyone that dares to cross them. But they have completely destroyed their league and thet is now going to really hurt them.
The Bundesliga as a league is a complete joke. Real top players won't want to go there - especially if they are used to the Premier League. And the lack of challenges will also leave them exposed at the Business end of the Champions League season (just as it does PSG) because their players will have become unaccustomed to the intensity of these high profile games.

He’s not leaving the Premier League until he breaks Shearer’s record. No chance.
Would be more worried about Chelsea, United, City, Liverpool.
