He MUST be replaced. I know people are getting dizzy with our current signings (I'm not personally) but we don't have enough up front.

Ferguson will be out of range next summer financially. It's now or never.

Would also add a top class winger/forward.

Just saying the same to my brother. Richy as your ready to go player and someone younger top talent as the upcoming one.

If you haven't checked/watched Hojlund, then definitely one to keep an eye on. Sadly United look ready to sign him but are playing around with low-ball fee. His first season in Serie A was really good, and think he's primed for a breakout season if he stays. His value will instantly double/triple, but the thing that stands out to me the most is he's the most Kane like replacement in that he gets teammates involved and create chances for himself and others. He's a bit like the btec version of Haaland too with his pace and strength (funny that United are targeting him lol).

On Kane, I just keep coming back to he has to see an opportunity to challenge on a team level for UCL and on a personal level for ballon d'or. Kane won't even be featured on shortlists for it despite him being the second leading scorer in all of Europe, what he did with us is so impressive and it's been said 1000 times but I feel he would have the individual season scoring record if he were in that City side this season.

I personally couldn’t see him going due to a number of reasons, mainly the fact the box office value that he provided to so many of the business deals done as well as his presence to attract other players and give us the best chance of CL this season. My big big fear however is this is intentional stepping stone/firewall between returning to the PL with a United/Chelsea to break shearers record. A brand Kane decision. That would hurt. If he went there for 5 years and won things I’d be upset but happy for him. Unfortunately I fear the former if he goes :-(

I’ve been around long enough to know this is the beginning of the end game. Up until now it’s been “don’t want to sell” and “won’t entertain bids.”

Now suddenly we are spending money decisively on other players and we start hearing this news. “If they offer what we want we will let him go.”

I was very optimistic about the new manager and the new direction of the club, but if we sell our best player it’ll just leave a cloud hanging over the rest of preseason and the pressure will then really be on the new manager.

This isn’t good news, and anyone thinking otherwise is kidding themselves. He’s irreplaceable.

But does he really want to go? I just don't see the pull....i mean i understand Bayern are massive and much bigger club than us. But Bundesliga, Munich and living in Germany to an English Londoner with a young family, i don't see the appeal.....and for the record, my Dad lived/worked in Germany for 12 years when i was growing up (we stayed in England) for aforementioned reasons!

He wasn't fit for either. Which is on him and the manager for picking him
Slightly OT...but this discussion ^^ is about H not being fit for CL final. We've had a few of these. Sonny now says he was injured for most of last season..and Richie started for 3 mins recently !

We never know who is responsible for injured players starting for us..player/manager/staff, but I'm hoping this tendency stops with Ange.

I just can't get my head around him wanting to go there. The only thing he's probably guarenteed to win is the Bundesliga, what would that really mean to him?

If he stays he can wait and see if we make any significant progress in the next six months then if we don't he has the pick of any club in the world next summer.

Apart from the obvious reasons, my main frustration in him leaving now would be because it's at a time we've finally added a decent creative midfielder and have a manager who wants to build a side to play attacking expansive football.

I've long accepted that Kane may go and I don't mind that. If I'm really honest with myself I'm astounded we've been able to hold on to him for this long without ever really showing as a club that we're going to make that last stride to being even greater. I just hope that we have really attractive options (not necessarily a massive name) if he were to leave. The outlook would really change if Kane went and we didn't compensate adequately.

Where is all this hype coming from? I’ve seen him live a few times. A good young player with the physical attributes but he has a lot of work to do. It would be a huge risk. I don’t necessarily think Brighton would be easy to negotiate with either tbh.

IF he wants to go and IF Bayern are paying up, on a business point of view we could do worse than reinvest it in Ferguson/another upcoming striker, Scott and Tapsoba for example.

Would hate to see Kane go, but rather now and getting some serious talent ad hunger in than see him walk for free to United, City, Liverpool or Newcastle next season.

I love everything that he's done for the club, but I'm still firmly in the camp of if he wants to go, a suitable offer comes in, and most importantly Ange is OK with it then let him go.

I don't think Richarlison is a good enough finisher to replace Kane. We'd need to invest to get someone that is gonna finisher 2 out 3 chances like Kane.

So how do we think Donna's going to spin Maddison being given the Number 10 and teaming up with our "record signing" Richarlison?

Nobody out there can effectively replace Harry Kane or what he represents to this club, nobody.

But we can evolve as a team.
It would take years, though. We improved after Bale left, but it took two managerial changes and about three years before we looked better. Villa look better now post-Grealish but that also took two managerial changes and about two years.

It just seems incredibly unfair to Ange.
