Honestly if he wants to go sell him, he is not and never will be the club, sell him move on. Invest well and honestly I certainly won’t be checking again on his career, he isn’t the badge just an employee. Couldn’t care less what he achieves in an other clubs shirt.

If we seriously wanted kane to stay the contract of the reported 400k a week should have been offered 2 years ago and not now.

At present I honestly don't blame kane or the club for the current situation.

If we want to sell him, then Levy has to position the club to get the most for him, unfortunately this will have an impact with Ange preparation for the new season. Kane on the other hand, he wants to win something, just similar to any top footballer.

For me, I can't be bothered; kane was eventually going to stop playing for spurs, be it selling or retirement.

I just want to see entertaining football with or without kane, and going by our preseason game against westham it it surely going to be an entertaining season ahead.

Yes. And my point is that for a player who’s already experienced it many times, the need to do so every year diminishes and is not worth making a career defining decision for the sake of what, 10 games ?

We’re you laughing when you wrote this?

Some revisionism here. In 2021 the stadium wasn't even open for several months, COVID and the enormous financial impact of it to the Prem and us was still a big thing. Absolutely zero chance we would have been in a position to offer him a contract like that 2 years ago.

There is so much chat about whether he will stay or go, it’s impossible to know for sure, but in my opinion I think he goes before the window closes!

Why, because we have a chairman that try’s to squeeze every last penny out of a deal yet would consider potentially turning down 80-100m and risk seeing Kane leave for free in 12 months, it just doesn’t add up!

I know it’s out there that Kane has been offered this huge deal and the club are willing to get creative but it’s too much of a risk for Levy if he doesn’t sign before the window closes.

I hope I’m wrong, time will tell!

Haha not the other 36 when a league rival has the best striker in the league up front?
Literally couldn’t give two fucks about any matches not involving Spurs. Can’t ever stop other teams signings other than stopping our own contracted players.
We just have to be the best we can be.

We were not the only club hit by COVID, other clubs were and it didn't stop them from paying top brass wages to their top players. Also we could have offered him last season.

That's by the way, we are were we are and as I pointed either way I am just looking forward to seeing us play positive football next season.

No idea why you’re commenting on the same post twice.
But no, I’m serious. One season extra of champions league (23/24) does not seem so important to mean taking the only offer on the table

Bayern Munich to make improved bid for Tottenham striker Harry Kane

German champions confident they can secure deal for England captain, while Ange Postecoglou warns Spurs not to let saga drag on

Bayern Munich are planning a third bid for Harry Kane with Ange Postecoglou, the Tottenham Hotspur head coach, warning the club cannot allow the uncertainty over the striker’s future to drag on.

Kane has one year left on his Tottenham contract and is keen to move this summer to the Bundesliga champions. Bayern have had two bids rejected but say they are confident the England captain, who turns 30 next week, wants to join them.

The Times reported on Thursday that Kane does not plan to sign a new contract regardless of what happens in this transfer window. Should he stay, he would be available on a free transfer next summer.

Bayern are expected to make another bid when Tottenham return from their pre-season tour of Australia, Thailand and Singapore at the end of the month. Tottenham value Kane at £100 million and while Bayern’s fresh bid may not meet that figure, the German club’s transfer committee are fully focused on landing their top target and hopeful they can negotiate a fee.

Postecoglou, who succeeded Antonio Conte as Tottenham manager this summer, admitted he is “not relaxed” about the unresolved question of Kane’s future. The Australian said he will not try to force Kane’s hand or set a hard deadline for the saga to be resolved, but also cautioned that the club’s interests were ill-served by allowing the speculation to linger.

Bayern have a transfer budget of roughly £130 million. They have sold the defender Lucas Hernandez to Paris Saint-Germain for £39 million and replaced him with Kim Min-jae from Napoli for £43 million. They have also shown interest in Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic and Eintracht Frankfurt forward Randal Kolo Muani.

Tottenham maintain refusal to set Harry Kane price tag

Tottenham Hotspur are still refusing to set an asking price for star striker Harry Kane, sources have told 90min.

Kane is the subject of intense transfer interest from Bayern Munich, who have already seen two bids knocked back by Spurs this summer.

90min previously reported that Kane's representatives have begun to put feelers out around Europe that he could be available with his contract up in 2024.

However, 90min understands that Tottenham remain confident that he can be persuaded to stay in the long-term and have not been told by Kane's camp that this option is off the table.

Reports from both England and Germany have suggested that Spurs may be tempted to move on from their all-time record scorer if a bid in excess of £100m were to arrive, particularly if the payment structure was favourable to them.

However, sources have told 90min that chairman Daniel Levy and the Tottenham hierarchy are still not entertaining the thought of putting a price tag on Kane.

New head coach Ange Postecoglou met Kane for the first time shortly before the first-team squad jetted off for their tour of Australia and Asia, with the 57-year-old maintaining that one single conversation would not decide his future. 90min understands that Spurs are hopeful a positive relationship between the two will prove a major factor in deciding the striker's future.

Is there a law how many times I can comment on something ?

I’m commenting twice as I didn’t believe what I read the 1st time.

You'd have to think £100m is the nice round figure that allows Levy to publicly save face.

Christ sake you would think no one has ever left a club on a free at the end of his contract before. Did Gundogan stop playing in January or did he captain City to a treble? Kane is nothing if not a professional
Fuck me, it’s just my opinion…. 🙄

Just out of interest though, do you consider Kane’s behaviour a couple of years ago to be ‘professional’?

I'm glad Ange isn't being coy about the situation. Candor is definitely appreciated. And if he has been given a remit to overhaul the playing style/culture of the club, soup-to-nuts, then he needs direct line of sight into what's going on with its most prized asset. It's not just any old player. He is basically the club's leader. All players look up to him. It would be foolhardy to suppose that doesn't have an impact. So, I hope internally they have their own deadline in mind. IE: Either a bid is accepted by end of month or we will close up shop and will not entertain any more bids (no matter how high) for the rest of the window. As it's too late at that point to effectively replace him and it also interferes with Ange's process with the rest of the players.
