Bayern and the media really are pathetic. If I'm Levy I'd shut down all incoming calls from Germany, screw them.

I actually think we’d be better without him. The caveat being I probably think that out of forced acceptance but the whole saga feels like a British mannered version of Ronaldo/Man Utd.

He clearly thinks, and has thought since at least the City shambles, that he is better than to play for Tottenham. That he deserves better. I just can’t see how that is good for the squad morale. Especially when he holds the vice/co captain role. Which he isn’t very good at. He’s shown time and again for England and Spurs that he can’t grab his players by the scruff of the neck and get them back into games. I might be wrong, but I’m those games (for Spurs at least) he doesn’t attribute our failure with his failure. He feels Spurs have failed him not that he has had an active role in that failure to win trophies. If he stays, he will have to be captain, I think he will be a poor captain because he is not a good leader. I think that is likely to stunt our progress.

I think now with Lloris gone, it might be a good time to get a complete new player leadership in the squad along with the new manager. A lot of people have complained that they don’t want a manager that thinks they are better than the club, but are happy to have a player that thinks he is?
He is better than us, under Levy’s comedy leadership. Two seriousCB signings might still give him pause for thought, though. And we all cling to the hope Ange might be able to create something promising…

We have never push the boat out and sign high end players to win things and at the same time signing up and coming players, the blame lies with the hierarchy at Spurs for not making the team competitive. If they don’t change their mode of operation, our star players will continue to move to other teams with ambitions of winning things.

Right….So let’s just sign mediocre or relatively decent players that definitely aren’t better than the club

it’s up to the club to have signed better players and have had a strategy to lift the bar!

the fact that he’s literally the only player we have that any other top side would want suggests he probably is better than the club!

A new boot deal for Harry Kane

All eyes were on Harry Kane as usual during the training session. As always, he gave his all in the training session in the rain and finished off plenty of opportunities put into the box by the wingers. There was a real effort to put in low crosses from the flanks across the six yard box which looks like it will be a big aspect of Postecoglou attacking football this coming season.
Kane headed off after the practice match, at first looking like he was going off on his own to sit down in the dugout and change into his trainers, only for others to follow him while Bissouma, Lo Celso and others took part in shooting practice.

The England captain, who then went off to sign shirts for some of those in the 6,000-strong crowd watching the open session, will have been told about the shirt stunt in his name in the press conference. He was probably as bewildered as everyone else.

What people might not have noticed is that Kane has been wearing all black boots during Spurs' tour rather than his usual brighter Nike ones. football.london understands that the England captain's deal with Nike has come to an end and he is now wearing his new pair, with blacked out logos, before a mega boot deal with a new company is announced in the near future.

He probably is. My point isn’t whether he is objectively better than us or not. The point is he thinks he is and in a position of leadership once he thinks that and doesn’t want to be there it’s not going to be great for morale.

Isn't bild very reliable? Says Kate spent few days there checking out houses etc. That's a pretty big step to take
What it actually says, according to what I saw is this

The mega transfer is getting closer!
Bayern wants to sign Tottenham superstar Harry Kane (29) as a new striker, has been digging at the England captain for weeks.
And BILD has now experienced a real hammer: Kane's wife Katie Goodland has been in Munich for the past few days!

Haven't been keeping up with the saga on a daily basis like most because to be honest I really can't be bothered, but what's the last bid they put in for him? Was it the 80m euro one?

So realistically they need to up that by around 50% for us to deal. I honestly don't see in any world how Bild can be claiming this is getting closer.

I think it means, that while his deal with Nike has come to an end, he has not actually started the new deal with the new sponsor.

It can work if we're consistent with it. We had the perfect recipe under Poch but our recruitment was terrible for a while. I'm perfectly happy if we're a team that continues to sign young prospects to develop. Ideally with the odd trophy to show for it. I think that is more likely if we keep the conveyor belt of young talent going. We're on the right tracks now but we really need to push the boat out for VdV and Tapsoba as well as a few others. We've developed plenty of young talent in the past. Kane is just the latest of those. It's just a shame we haven't won something with him but there have been other greats to not win anything here. If he leaves then so be it but it's vital we keep signing young talent across the squad and keep feeding the academy. What's most frustrating is we often seem to fall short every window. If we sell Kane we need to bring another prospect with the potential to develop up front. However we also need to not leave ourselves short in other positions as well. A young hungry team under a dynamic manager who plays exciting football is perfect for us. If we can't compete with the top teams in signing the best players then we need to be the best at discovering them. Besides it's extra rewarding to develop players than to go and sign them when they're world class. That's what makes having Kane so special , no matter where he ends up he was made in Tottenham.

Players will have contracts with boot suppliers to exclusively wear their boots. Kanes contract with Nike is up and he's not announced who his deal is with yet so he's wearing unbranded boots until it is.
