That's just terrible business sense. Let's do something detrimental to us to spite them...
Take the emotion out of it and just go for the best deal you can get. Kane clearly wants to leave

I agree with all of that apart from 'Kane clearly wants to leave'. As far as I'm aware he hasn't said anything at all to support that. Everything I've read has been speculation and media shit stirring.

Bild now saying that reporter been banned by our club

I didnt see the paywall article details before...
Here it adds some details that heavily pregnant Kane's wife went to Grunwald suburb near Munich for house hunting...

The suburb specified is where most of the Bayern players live btw
Here's a translation:

BILD reporter Max Schrader is currently in Bangkok on the trail of super striker Harry Kane, whom FC Bayern is desperate to sign. Kane is on a promotional tour with Tottenham Hotspur in Thailand's capital.

BILD gives Tottenham a little taste of what Kane might look like in a Munich jersey, bringing a Bayern jersey with Kane flocking and the number 9 to the press conference.

But this does not go down well at all. "What can I say to that? Nothing! You've come a long way for the laugh. Great! Hope it was worth it," clamors Tottenham coach Ange Postecoglou.

Press spokesman Anthony Marshall then forbids the BILD reporter from asking any further questions at the press conferences. Then in the evening comes a WhatsApp message from Marshall: "After the incident at today's press conference, I wanted to inform you as a courtesy that we have asked the organizer of our match tomorrow and in Singapore to withdraw your accreditation."

Over a jersey? Ridiculous!

The star striker is desperate to move to FC Bayern, Tottenham wants to keep him. Meanwhile, new coach Postecoglou is also annoyed by the poker around the star player. When he took office, he was still optimistic that he could coach Kane (contract until 2024) for at least one season.

Before leaving Perth, the Greek said, "For everyone involved, we don't want to make it too long. It's not good for anyone. I don't think it's good for Harry, and I don't think it's good for the club. Because as focused as we want to be, in the end you kind of repeat yourself along the way."

He stressed only tight-lipped that "nothing has changed" in the situation. How he would plan tactically with him, on the other hand, he did not want to answer. "I would be very happy if he stayed. His strengths are well known," he said.

And Kane himself? He's silent!

During a media round, Spurs sent forward newcomer James Maddison (26). Currently he still has the back number 71. Because he squints at Kane's 10? "I don't understand what the question is about," he bitched when the BILD reporter asked him about it.

After all, Kane is showing himself to be a consummate professional on the ground. During the session at Rajamangala National Stadium - typically English in the pouring rain - he didn't let on about all the hullabaloo surrounding him. He led the way, joking with his teammates and support staff.

Harry Kane is not only the center of attention in sporting terms, but now also away from the sporting action

Marketing appointments of the Spurs, however, take place largely without Kane. There, everything is focused on Heung-min Son (31), who would be the club's new poster boy if his teammate left. Coincidence? Or a glimpse into the future?

It fits: According to BILD information, Kane's wife Katie was in Munich in the last few days!

The heavily pregnant woman, who is expecting her fourth child soon after Ivy (6), Vivienne (4) and Louis (2), is said to have taken a look at the family's possible new home and also looked around for housing options in Grünwald.

Bayern are optimistic that the Kane deal will go through by the end of the month. Spurs' Asia trip ends in Singapore on Wednesday, with Bayern arriving there four days later.

So will Kane stay there right away? Probably not.

Word from England is that Bayern will make a new offer as soon as the teams are back from their marketing trips.

Let's see who laughs last in the poker for Kane ...

I think part of the reason he didnt do that is because of Kane.

I think he wanted another 'top' coach that could convince Kane to stay. It worked for a little while under Conte and had Conte extended his contract, I reckon Kane may have too.

But last season probably gave Kane confirmation that he had to leave.

This is why you should never look to appease one player. No matter who they are.

Focus on controlling how the club operates, if people are not on board with that, let them go.

I do believe in time that we will see others come out from Kane's shadow and the team will function much more as a unit.

Im not saying Kane is selfish or anything like that.

He is a CF and they typically are very self driven in terms of racking up goals.

Not only that but we have had 2 coaches who are not very dynamic (Jose and Conte). Their systems were set up to get the most out of 2 or 3 players with the rest acting as support.

Now we are moving toward a dynamic system being key, there is less need for a 30 goals CF.

Dont get me wrong, we will miss that at times of course. There will be games we waste chances and drop points which will lead many to say that Kane would have won the game etc.

But our defence and midfield will be much better for the system.

Se should also be more energetic off the ball in the frontline.

Lets be honest, Kane isnt going to press not stop. He isnt that player anymore.

I think we will score more from counter pressing but be a bit more wasteful with chances we carve out ourselves if that makes sense?

Itll kind of cancel itself out
Great points as always mate

C'mon man, it's clear as day. If he didn't want to leave he would have come out and made a statement.
He's just keeping quiet in respect of the club and fans. His price would drop significantly if he straight up said, yeah I'm done with spurs, looking for something new.
He's just playing the transfer game.

The German press stay on their knees for Bayern, it’s embarrassing. Either they can afford him or they can’t, simple as that. If they can’t, kindly fuck off and stick to bullying teams in your own tinpot league, hoovering up their best players because you have infinitely more money than them and monopolising your 1 horse league. Tossers

Why, there has been a press briefing that kane won't sign a new contract this window, he would be interested in a move to Bayern, but he is happy to stay.

That briefing came from kanes camp.

Nothing has changed since. It just means he's open to all options.

Not really, I just think that at present, we value him more than they do and that these little games they're playing through the media aren't doing them any favours.
Levy know the fans will be pissed off if anything other than Kane staying happens but there's no way that Bayern spouting is going to make him let him go for less than the value Levy considers him worth.
If he does sell him now, Levy is going to want big money, or else I think he's happy to keep him.

Yes, my post was written through a fans eyes but Levy will have a price in his mind and no matter what Bayern do, he's not going to budge on that.
It's not as black and white as we value him at a 100m or 120m, any less and it's a no go. You have to consider what happens if he doesn't go and leaves in a years time to a direct PL rival for FREE.

Bayern knows this of course and is therefore playing this game of chicken with Levy. Best case scenario is PSG or Real get involved. Otherwise there will come a time where Spurs might need to be a bit more pragmatic.

I'd rather get 90m and he goes to Bayern now then keep him for another year and he goes to a PL rival for free.

This is true but comes with the territory of being an elite club. They very rarely publicly target a player and don't end up getting them. They arent silly enough to make it public unless they truly believe they can wrap it up.

Food chain is what it is

That was true for me at the start of all this but the more bullshit antics that Bayern pull, and make no mistake all the Bild stuff will be from them too, the more I think fuck em, let the world know they can't afford him and any bid was derisory.

If 100M in on the table and Kane goes abroad, I can live with that, doubt we will replace him or spend the money well, but we can complain about that after

Oh I agree - I think Kane being open to a move does not mean a move is 100% going to happen.

But, there are a number of people who have decided that Kane would never accept a move to Bayern, so it does not matter what Bayern offer. (See the "disagree" on my previous post...)

Right now - this is really a decision for Levy and Bayern - What is the minimum that Levy would accept, and what is the maximum that Bayern will offer. If there is not a match - then there will not be a deal. But I expect, that everyone is inching towards a deal - more than Bayern want to pay, and less than Levy wants to accept.
Nonsense it’s a decision for Kane. Not Bayern or Levy for lots of reasons most notably Kane holding all the cards in the current situation. and Spurs holding pretty much none. That doesn’t mean Kane wouldn’t go to Bayern, but this nonsense narrative that its Spurs/Levy’s decision to make is completely false. It can’t be their decision if Kane can completely veto any move and there would be sod all Spurs/Levy can do about it. It would only take a club Kane fancied playing for bigger than Bayern/ paying more wages to show their hand and say sit tight for a year and the whole Bayern thing would be ashes in an instant.

The one thing Kane constantly says is he is keeping his options open. Behind the scenes no matter what Bayern are saying publicly, it’s utterly naive to think Kane hasn’t been made aware of other opportunities both now and in less than a years time.

I am surprised so many are interpreting Kane's interest in the Bayern move as genuine. I am convinced it is just a smokescreen and he will not end up there. This story ends with him either seeing his contract into the final year or going to another PL club this summer. This is the ultimate decision that Levy and the board will have to make. The only question for me is how long it will take to get to that decision point.
Kane may have an interest but it’s completely naive to think a striker of his standing hasn’t been made aware of other opportunities. It equally naive to think Bayern are the only club interested both now and in a years time. Kane may not be broadcasting his options publicly but he is bound to be aware of them.

Whilst that's true. Kane doesn't have a choice unless we agree a fee with bayern.
