Called this last summer when we signed Richy. Got shot down left right and centre.
I’m ITK. Blue me. Now.

The problem is they hold all the cards.

Take the money, sell Kane abroad, keep the fans happy (relative I know).

Or keep him. Then he goes to a prem rival for nothing in 12 months....

We will end up dragging this out and sell him to Bayern on deadline day at this rate.
They don't hold all the cards. This is their only chance to sign Kane, they wont have a chance next summer when he's on a free.

And while we're looking around like John Travolta in Pulp Fiction as to who is even possible to sign to replace him if we went down that route, they're currently selling Sadio Mane to Saudi and have been linked with absolutely nobody but Kane, if there was even anyone else to sign of that profile. If they don't sign him, where does that leave them?

£100 before add-ons, please.

I wouldn’t be shocked if we start seeing more “impasse/this is unlikely” stories in the media over next few days. Then we finally finalize some of the other deals before the clubs see us with a pocketful of cash.

75 is a bit shit but I think it’s safe to whisper it in here amongst Spurs fans that I’d rather take 75 for Kane now than have him join a PL club next summer. If he signed a pre transfer agreement with Bayern now for next season I’d be happy with that too even if we didn’t get anything for him. At least we’d have him for another year, we could finish top 4 and we can relax in the knowledge he isn’t staying in England.

I just couldn’t bear him joining Utd, City or most disturbingly, Chelsea.

Something like - £75MM plus £5MM for every 10 goals Kane scores for them in all competitions, capped at £25MM, for a total of £100MM. So by 50 goals in all competitions we’d reach the £100mm mark.

Hojlund going to United has a little impact on Kane's thinking I'd imagine. Despite all the talk, I'm not convinced Kane will move abroad. But united wont be paying for him now regardless of the spurs position on selling him rather than losing him on a free.

Campbell is a grade a prick, I despise him now as much as I ever did.

He wasn't right . He lied, led us along and went to the one place he knew was a huge huge no-no and then has tried the innocent act ever since.

He is a good example of my issue with spurs to this day.

It's always the fans that lose out, every single time. 20 years we have had this lot, pissing around with some success in the second decade but let's have it right, nobody knew Bale was going to turn into that player. He was a left back when we signed him and on the verge of being sold to forest when Redknapp finally gave him a chance. His rise wasn't a genius move it was a young left back we signed that exploded , an amazing story. And Kane himself was a good striker, nobody expected this but how often does a Harry Kane or. Gareth Bale come along? To get a Harry from your youth system isn't a regular thing.

So after years of watching the scum and the chavs win and win, we got a few years of success , except we won't sweet FA and then have just stopped as the chavs do what they do and now the scum are back, oh joy, I'm going to love them lording it over us again because it didn't happen for most of my life. Oh and the one manager who brought joy is now at bloody Chelsea (RAT!).

Harry would be absolutely mad to stay. Even I as a sad obsessed middle aged fan who grew up five minutes from the stadium and could hear the crowd from my bedroom window as a kid, even I would leave. I wouldn't want to work for Daniel Levy. In fact if I was a young player and spurs wanted me I wouldn't go because if I was a success and a Madrid or another side who actually win things come along , Levy whilst refusing to compete wouldn't let me go until I see out a long contract probably losing my time years competing for fourth.

And it's the fans that suffer. He charges the most in the world for everything, he has covered our shirt on red, demolished our home for a soulless entertainment venue, all in the aid of competing which so many sensible Tottenham fans rightly understand, except we never do compete.

Everything about us is pretending to be a big club, but we're not. Were a brand that has figured out how to maximize the amount of cash we can fleece whilst spending as little as possible on the actual football team.

I'm sorry for the rant, the thought of Judas set me off but I sit here and think about how our greatest ever player wants to go to a Mickey mouse league and a club he doesn't care about because he really has no choice if he wants to win anything. It's so sad and such a waste.

Honestly take our emotion and you can't offer one reason why he should stay. Were just lucky he doesn't wanna run down his contract and join that rat at the chavs.

He would be mad to stay! This club has no ambition as long as we are under Enic. Look what arsenal are spending after finishing 2nd. I said will be left behind by them after they finished above us.
those who think Maddison was good business, but I see it more as levy trying to get the cheapest deal possible. Our free transfer screwing over teams like shakter whose country are at war, the man is cold. We are also in desperate need of CBS and yet we only might get one. Why? I’m pretty sure we have the money for both, but levy being levy will do the bare minimum only. Yet he might give him self maybe a nice pay rise or bonus.

a leopard never changes it’s spots and levy will never change. Good luck to Ange I’ll be singing your name, but I feel he’s going into a losing battle.

kane needs to go to an ambitious club. He’s a legend in my eyes and nothing he does now can tarnish his legacy. Good luck to him!

I hope levy will prove me wrong and we will get the players we really need, and spend a bit of cash, but I’m not hopeful. I’ve seen this too many times, and Antonio said the same thing. Let’s just see how this plays out. I hope I can eat my own words as I love this club, and I want to see it competing at the top level.
I got absolutely roasted for this post when the guy above posted very similar. This was just after we signed Maddison, so it seems a lot of people are actually coming back to reality about levy. I’ve never been blind sighted by this fraud. As I said before he will always do the bare minimum but not enough for us to compete, and Harry has seen enough.

Like the guy said above the fact he has to move to Bayern to win a trophy, and choose to sacrifice winning the PL all time top scorer just goes to show how much he wants out. Kane obviously loves the clubs, and fans, but I just don’t think that’s enough for him to stay and sign a new contract under levy.

he would be absolutely mad to stay. I just hope we aim all the booing in Levy’s direction come match day against United.

I’d be shocked if this doesn’t get done for £80/85 max, and we will probably bring in one of the TWO absolute necessities in cb we need, and probably a reserve striker who won’t play much atall.
As much as I want richy to step up, he just can’t, he will never be the 20/25 goal a season striker we’d need, take into threat Harry’s general linkup play/assist etc etc etc.
We’re onto a loser regardless imo.

I didn’t know there were so many people blind to Levy being Levy.

Whoever we sign must be able to compete with Richarlie, because he’s not clinical enough and is injury prone to boot. Son is most effective from out to in. Maddison will play him in.

I want to see more of Porro on the other side, by the time Kulu makes up his mind what to do the box is full of defenders.

Oh, yeah- 100m Euros absolute minimum for Kane- unless they’re chucking someone we need into the deal

I really hate the disruption this saga brings to the team. And it bugs me Kane has allowed it to happen a second time. If he's so adamant on going to that German club and contacts and agreements have all been made, he should have made known to them the timeline and prerequisite amount to get Levy to start discussion. It's the least amount of respect he can get for himself and give to the club.

That being said, he's so terribly managed it's unreal. Both him and his brother are worse than amateurs in business dealings. Mourinho should advise him to change agent as well if he thinks Kane could be a bigger star that time. And yet it's still Charlie ffs..

If someone told you a year ago we were signing Richarlison and selling Kane would you have been happy with that?
Not if it was a pound for pound replacement. But swapping Kane for Richi and a top class CB, both younger and with scope for improvement, recognising that Kane would otherwise leave on a free a year later - yes. Id be pragmatic about it.

Richi needs a chance. As someone to lead the line, with the right players around, I think he’ll do well enough, possibly very well with a bit of luck.

Or more to the point, to find a player who would obviously outperform him, I think we’d need to spend mega money - Osimehn, Vlahovic etc. All things considered, we’d be better spending the money elsewhere

Why do people think us selling him to Bayern will stop him playing for a prem rival? Whose to say in a years time Poch doesn’t offer 80 mill or whatever to bring him to Chelsea?

I think people need to stop worrying that he’ll go to Chelsea on a free next summer. He’s not going to turn traitor like that and piss on his legacy here.

Imo the only realistic destination next summer as far as the premier league is concerned is United. Things change obviously, but right now City have Haaland, Liverpool won’t give such a big contract to a 31 year old, and Arsenal, Chelsea, and Newcastle seem unrealistic.

It’s more likely that being free opens up better options abroad like Barca, Real or Italian teams. But like I said, United are the most obvious destination.

If Bayern won’t pay up a good amount for him, then we shouldn’t be rolling over and having our tummy tickled. We aren’t fucking Dortmund.
