The whole uncertainty is really grating now.

This needs put to bed by Friday at the absolute latest, one way or another.

Totally mental to have a new regime and have this level of disruption on the eve of the season starting. Bonkers.

I was thinking more of the implications the Kane deal has on our future transfer business. If it goes right to the wire, we may not have time to do the business we might have done, the old "we tried but couldn't get the paperwork done in time" excuse.
Yeah fair enough. Although I suspect that if the Kane deal does go down to the wire it will largely be because we want to line up all of those deals prior to confirming his sale, rather than leaving ourselves only one or two days to negotiate them all.

Pretty sure that's what happened with Bale.

My personal opinion is, Kane stays. I think it was up in the air, but he's accepted that he's staying when he was included in the squad for the Shakthar game. Since then, he's been more vocal on social media. Bayern and German media are sounding more and more desperate and looking for alternatives, plus he played 80 mins in a meaningless game.

I think he stays. And i could not be more happier if that becomes reality.

I think at least one of the parties will pull out soon if it's not done by Weds/Thurs.

Like the Man City summer I suspect Harry will want to put out a statement about staying later this week if a deal is not done. He'll want clarity on it before the weekend 100%.

Can see Bayern moving for Vlahovic pretty quickly if so.

But in all seriousness, he is some professional ain’t he. Going out in a meaningless friendly with all this swirling around you and doing the business. What a player, blessed to have had him

It would give us a temporary lift, but give it 2-3 months and the media will start speculating where his destination at the end of the season is. Do we really want that? Surely it is going to be very disruptive?
I‘d only be happy if Harry Kane decided to sign a new contract with us, something he appears reluctant to do. All things considered, therefore, unless he signs a new contract, we should sell him this week.

This is Tottenham after all, it wouldn't be a new season without some level of disruption and an air of uncertainty to it.

And if he leaves, the build up to and then discussion every match will be about how we're faring without him, and if he was there we'd have scored. Or how Richy etc. can't fill the hole, etc.

Kane will be professional as ever, and don't think it would disrupt us. We have more chance of European football with Kane in the team than not. Money is irrelevant, as it isn't our money - and we wasted the Bale money before - and then have wasted millions since (so much that we can't shift them!)

I don't care about the balance sheet - but i do care about seeing one of the World's best strikers for one last season, and hope we can convince him to stay and renew during that time.

Also, based on how Bayern and their weasel journalists have behaved, it would delight me to see them lose out

Imagine being ange, if Kane stays.

every single press conference will be questions about Kane for the whole season, everything we do will all be about him - honestly whole situation is a nightmare for a manager who is trying to establish a team, rather than set up a team for one player.

which is why if he stays a new deal has to be signed as a minimum - that’s respecting the badge etc

No it doesn't, him being able to leave on a free will be of great concern to the board and may encourage them to do all they can to secure he signs a new deal. He signs that away and he signs away any leverage he has if he wishes to use himself in a way to have the needle move.

Harry was quoted as saying that he would only sign if there was 'progress' on the pitch. My take on it is progress in the style and positiveness of play. Yesterdays game showed a huge improvement, there was much more positive play and creativity. That Harry scored 4 was good, but he also had a lot more chances and could have scored more. If that doesn't impress him then nothing will!

Yeah I don't think a pre-season friendly against a team that's lost it's best players to war is going to make me rush to commit my remaining peak years to a club that continuously doesn't push the boat out to yield footballing success.

Every club has money, its all we ever seem to speak about these days with Football
£100m this and that.

You can't put a price on what HK means to THFC and the fans.

Broadcasting revenue alone was £182m in 2022, and its UP again for the next 3 years under the new deal

I really can’t see this going to deadline day or even the last week of the window.

I think we’re close to the end of the saga and probably this week will tell a lot, Tottenham, Bayern and Kane will want a resolution quickly now.

Score 100 goals with a manager who actually wants to score goals, win the league, two birds one stone. Why haven’t we decided to just do this?
