No disrespect to the itk's here but if JJ all of a sudden turns up in here posting a wink emoji I'll take that as Harry signing a new contract I'll immediately start running around the office naked in celebration. I'll get fired and laughed at but it'll be worth it.
Pretty sure they have given up the ITK life and returned to lurking and commenting when they fancy. (y)

Anyone want to take bets on how many more times we can go through the '100% gone!' -> 'Definitely staying' cycle before the end of the window.

I think if we push ourselves we can manage 5 more times.

20 pounds to the SC pot for a jjetset update

edit: from him. not about him.

Fantastic idea, except with a twist. If JJetset posts a wink emoji, i'll threaten to run around the office naked unless everyone gives me 20 pounds and donate the proceeds to SC. No fund raisers required for a year.

This "boring" thing pisses me off. Bored of what? Trying to keep our best ever player?

Let's just sell him so you don't have to read a news article about him. Or you could just not click the fucking link and then we can watch Harry Kane score 40 more goals in the lilywhite.

You're a sensitive little flower aren't you.

Ally Gold suggested in his most recent YouTube video that there is a belief that Kane wants the club to get a fee when he goes.

The best (realistic) outcome IMO is that he signs a one-year contract extension doubling his wages but with a reasonable buyout clause (say £50m) for next summer available to a select few European clubs (Madrid, Barca, Bayern, PSG, Inter, Milan, Juve, etc.).

That way he still gets to leave on the same timeline as the expiration of his current contract, he locks in a contractual guarantee of two years of £400k/w wages (covering his bases in case he's injured this season), he leaves on the terms he'd prefer (demonstrating his loyalty and ensuring the club gets compensated with a transfer fee), and the club gets one last opportunity to kick on, show ambition, try to win something, and convince him to see out his career here.

Do it, we’ll start a go fund me page in the mean time.

All the go fund me money will be donated to SC and you’ll still be shit out of luck but it’ll be worth it for the laughs.

From Prof on COYS about 15 minutes before the bid being rejected hitting the news. The shorter contract is what I reckon will happen and suggested it a few weeks ago as the best move for everyone.

A mixture of info from Gawain and a new source.

We have put two contract options in front of Harry and his reps.
A long term incentive laden contract to remove the uncertainty for us and for him. Barring significant injury he’d break Shearer’s record and pretty much retire as a Spurs player.
A mid-range contract with buyout clause that would put us in a similar position next summer as we are this summer. This option would give us at least another year of Harry, and give him time to decide whether he’s buying in to our future under Ange, as well as setting a minimum sale price.

No idea if he’ll negotiate a bit and then sign one of them, sign neither and leave on a free next summer, or be sold before this window closes. DL wants a decision asap so Spurs know how much they’ll have to spend and which positions they’ll need to focus on for the remainder of the window.

This week provides much for both HK and DL to ponder.

Just looking through a few pages of this thread and my FitBit asks me... "how are you feeling"

This is what this club does to you.

If my antics means a shit tonne of money gets raised for SC then I'll be happy to have helped.

I’ll be printing out all of Pletti****’s tweets on the matter and for legal reasons I can’t say what I’ll be doing with them but use your imaginations.

It will be a work of art when I’m done.

I’m so confused, I thought the ITK said the deal was agreed. I honestly think at this point he is going to see out his contract which is what I said weeks ago. It makes a lot of sense for Kane.
That's because you have a problem with how you are interpreting what you are reading unless you have seen things posted that I haven't.
