Gotta say, Levy's played a masterstroke in ensuring Kate was due to give birth just as the season starts, ensuring both their emotions will be all over the place, knowing they wouldn't want to make a life changing decision at such a time. I wonder how he pulled off such a plan.

Can't Harry say nope, I'm seeing out my final year; I don't owe you anything, Levy? Not sure why this isn't the obvious choice if he doesn't fancy going to Bayern and prefers not to sign a new deal with us. What the fuck is he hesitating over?

Knowing almost all the details of the Munich offer, it wouldn't now cast Harry in a good light should he decline, not accept a Spurs offer, and move next season on a free.

I just cannot see that Harry would do this with him knowing the possible consequences from the fans reaction.

That's just hyperbole though - nobody has suggested that, certainly not me.

If you were Ange looking to stamp your authority and ingrain your beliefs and methods on a group of players you would be asking for 100% commitment. I don't think you can possibly expect that when you have a player - your star player at that - with one eye on his next club which could quite conceivably be a rival club.

Listen, I don't blame Kane at all as i'd be doing the same as i'm sure the vast majority of you would too in his situation but it's naive to think this won't be increasingly detrimental to what Ange is trying to build and instil here.
But he will be 100% committed this season. Nobody is going to be looking ahead to next season. Never happens.

As i said in another post i’m obviously not Levy’s biggest fan but I think this post is a little unfair. Levy is realistically playing the only card he has. I said along that Kane had the power, it wasn’t rocket science. Levy is trying to use whatever (very little) leverage he has. There was always a strong possibility Kane would want to see out his contract.

Levy’s biggest errors are the mess that’s been made ever since Poch went, that has led us here, but that’s for another thread. I’m not going to blame Levy at this point for trying to do what he can in a really tough situation.

In fairness, in one of the thing's I quoted, I said "whatever you think of Levy" and I highlight this to show you that I absolutely agree with you. He's doing what he can, I'm making a prediction on what his next moves are and all Levy is interest in is protecting Spurs, that's fine by me. I'd love him to treat Kane fairer but I understand his behaviour. What I'm trying to do is highlight what is probably going to transpire over the short term and I'm challenging us fans to be smarter and not turn on Kane, so it's not an insult on Levy, it's challenge to us as fans to not fall for the trap of turning on Kane.

Draining and tiresome. Found myself wasting so much sleeping time at the other end of the world over this ffs and realised so not worth it. Just balls up and made the fucking decision.

Hope I can wake up to a conclusion and I don't even expecting it as good news anymore. Pfft

I'd prefer him to go at this point. He instigated the whole situation, we acquiesced, now he wants to fuck around. Dick head.
Appreciate what you've done Harold but now it's time to roll.
Should you be drinking on a school night?

Bayern apparently still confident

“For FC Bayern it was clear from the start: without the clear will and firm commitment of Harry Kane, there would be no negotiations with Daniel Levy.

Those responsible have kept in touch with the Kane side around father Pat and brother Charlie over the past few weeks and never had the feeling that the player could change his mind.

As of now, there is still no final go from Kane, but those responsible remain confident that the transfer will take place before the weekend. Everything is prepared!

Now I'm picturing levy sneaking around the kane household and replacing kates birth control pills with placebos late last October....

I really wouldn’t mind if he left but I’d never ever call a player who has given me such joy a Dick Head.

Shameful.
That's fair enough. Maybe my wording was harsh. I just can't stand the dude's flip flopping after we've given him what he wanted. Pisses me off, especially with all the upheaval around the club.

We're THFC, not Harry Kane FC. You guys can describe his actions however you want to make you feel better, to me it seems disrespectful, especially right before the season starts.

But does he therefore take the Munich move just to avoid some bad PR even though it seems he really doesn’t want to go there?

There was always a big question mark about him wanting to go to Germany though, I thought that all along.

You’d think if Richy is as badly injured as alluded to, that we’d say sorry changed our mind and bid not accepted now.
