Reading between the very squiggly lines, it sounds like levy accepted and Harry’s dad and brother want some of the pie.

All of the media reports of Harry leaning towards staying seem to have come from the Kane camp, which would be a very unsophisticated (and we are talking about amateurs) way of putting pressure on Levy to agree to the extra cut for Dad and bro.

To me, the should I stay or should I go is just posturing at the end of the deal. Fully expect him to be on a plane tomorrow for a medical.

I don't think anyone has confirmed any of what you've written so it might be best not to cultivate what is an unsubstantiated rumour.

No one really knows what is happening other than Kane and probably Levy. Keep your powder dry and pray for a contract renewal announcement.

I so want him to stay and lead big Anges revolution but I think he has gone - the timing is awful -for the first time since prime Poch we have a coach that will play the way the fans and the players want and to lose Harry now is such a downer - with Richy out for potentially months I dont think we will do ourselves justice between now and Xmas -maybe we rally from there but until you have lost Kane you truly don’t realise what is gone - and it’s a lot…..

The worst part is that it's 10 years after Bale left and we're basically back where we were. Our far and away best player and club legend leaving because their level and ambition is just much higher than ours at this moment. Just have to hold onto hope that Ange can weather the storm and succeed where AVB couldn't.

Agree. Don’t see any real reason why silence points to one outcome rather the other.

Equally plausible that he is staying and they are still speaking about possible new contract or at least a commitment to discuss one in due course so that they can mention that in the announcement rather than just come out and say he’s staying.

Because for a huge transfer like this their primary concern isn't announcing it as quickly as possible at a weird time without fanfare. There's a huge PR angle to it on all sides.
