This club is and has for the last 20+ years been run lika a business rather than a football club. There is no idendity, Levy or ENIC have absolutely no interest in winning anything and we will always be a selling club and a laughing stock to the rest of the Premier League.

anyone whos is shocked that Kane is gone is mental. I can imagine Levy driving him there personally and Joe Lewis bathing in the cash.
We will never be more than this and it’s time we realise that.

come on you fucking spurs

Maybe I’m being emotional but I also really don’t get what Harry is thinking.

Bayern?!

He’s just a mercenary just like all the others.

When a player comes through the club you think they are different but Harry isn’t one of them, apparently.

Yeahhhh you’re maybe being a bit emotional here - I would feel this way if he went for free next season to Cheslea though…

He’s bought into the whole ‘never win a trophy’ thing and gone to the easiest one.

Honestly, good luck to him. Wish it had worked out, in all honesty it probably could have with better management from the top.

I feel we actually look to have made the right decisions regarding the direction of the club this summer. All be it too little too late for Harry to see another rebuild.

Wish him all the best but we move on, I expect three good players brought in. We need to give Ange a fighting chance and get fully behind him. Also need to appreciate everyone will have differing views on this and the last thing we should do is shoot each other down if others are angry, upset or even numb to the situation.

It's happening, and things move on. There is nothing you can do to control it, so why worry?

I'm still looking forward to the season. Kane, or no kane.
I can’t help it and admire your ability to move on.

I felt protective over Harry more than any other player that has played for us so it’s really fucked me.

I personally can’t even think about the season.

The fact that he’s going to a two-bob league to stat pad some trophies is fucking shite as well. If he couldn’t win with us he should’ve been a galactico and reached the footballing pinnacle with the likes of Madrid. Not fucking about in a liederhosen after beating Freiburg to win some shit shield no one cares about. What an underwhelming exit to top it all off.

One thing I have to say.

There is not a human being in the world who would be more perfect to tell me it’s going to be ok and get us through this emotionally than Big Ange

We’re not rebuilding. We’re dismantling.

Six signings and two or three more to come in, plus a new manager, should in any fans opinion suggest a rebuild.

I said earlier that we will never replace Kane, but can now afford to replace that defence and other areas that need strengthening.

Glass half full sort of observation.

What was the point of haggling for 2 critical weeks over an extra £10m, when your targets are either off the market or gone up in cost?

Throw in the disruption to the season, and knock on effects to CL revenues, and it’s a shambles from top to bottom.

As I’ve said, nothing has changed since Berbatov.
Haven’t read through 3500+ pages, but hopefully someone else has pointed out that we do have Brazil’s first choice striker, proven in the league, who’s had a year to adapt to the club. Realistically anyone else would be back-up or competition at best, not a new obvious first choice.

Having said that I do think Kane is worth more than 100m for one year for us, and I would really, really hate to see him go..

No one rates us. No one thinks Ange can succeed. No one thinks the players can succeed - not the public, not Conte, not Mourinho, and now not even Kane.

Seems like fucking good motivation to me.

It sucks but the obstacle is the way as they say and it’s about making the best of it now.

I for one hope Levy doesn’t go on some random splurge to try and appease the fans and let’s Munn and Ange decide what and who we need. If it means not spending all of the money then so be it.

Thanks to @Rob , @Archibald&Crooks and all of the team. Thanks too to @Trix @Hercules @Hotspur88 and @What Lies Beneath for all of the info sharing 👍

Proud to say I was there to watch Harry’s first premier league goal for spurs on a cold night against Sunderland. Donation on the way to mark the end of an era.

But I’m sure it’s always been his dream to play for them. Definitely always watched Bundesliga as a kid when everyone else watched La Liga and Serie A.

At least that’s what he’ll say in his announcement.

Sooner he plies his trade in Munich rather than Manchester.

Bayern are a huge team. Sure they walk the league but he has a genuine chance to win the champions league and imo the Ballon d’Or. He could also come back to the PL in three years and still break the record.

Whatever, Harry. I'll never understand this decision he's made. He's throwing away the chance to be a genuine, one-club legend and smash all sorts of records just so he can cruise to a trophy (with a team that would've won it anyway and that nobody will even remember his involvement with) just so he can say he won something.

Up the Dortmund.

How many decades until another player comes through our academy and becomes the best in the world?

Weve reallly fucked this.
Nope. Gazza left, Modric left, Bale left, Kane leaves. Club remains. I wanted him to stay but not at the cost of him leaving for nothing and joining a rival.

I'm as Levy out as they come - and he has failed in many areas - but I don't currently think he could have handled this any better this summer given the current position of the Club - regardless of recent appointments - we have no Europe, new manager, club Talisman could leave for a Prem rival for nothing.

I'm still concerned on who we will get in - but it is what it is at this point. At least the circus will be over. #COYS

Tomorrow we announce our new captain and Maddison as number 10 maybe. Would love to at least sign someone before it's made official. We need to try get some positive stuff out but this is going to hurt. New era though and still excited about it.

When are numbers due?

It's just all pretty sad really isn't it? I named my son after Harry Kane, my Liverpool supporting wife didn't clock it until it was too late. Not even got Winksy to fall back on now.

At least when Palacios left us, I could lie and say my dog was named after the ball in Castaway.

Emotionally, this feels not too dissimilar to the UCL Final defeat. It's fully the end of an era. At least with Ange, we'll have a team that'll be fun to watch and hopefully on an upward path, not like everything that came after that bloody final.
Atleast you didn’t name him Sol every cloud….
