It's sad we haven't been ambitious enough for H but I generally welcome change. Ultimately this is how the game is played in this day and age. Who knows what new star we might find with the void left by Harry.

.

I’m naively hoping Levy’s operation Kane is a blinder. Although he’s going to have pull some fat fxcking rabbit out of the hat to make this even semi palatable.

There is no operation Kane. Do you really believe the club will be prepared and bring in proven quality to replace him? It will be fuck up after fuck up again. It’s so obvious. We probably only pushed through the VDV transfer once we knew Kane was likely to go.

Reading between the very squiggly lines, it sounds like levy accepted and Harry’s dad and brother want some of the pie.

All of the media reports of Harry leaning towards staying seem to have come from the Kane camp, which would be a very unsophisticated (and we are talking about amateurs) way of putting pressure on Levy to agree to the extra cut for Dad and bro.

To me, the should I stay or should I go is just posturing at the end of the deal. Fully expect him to be on a plane tomorrow for a medical.
Maybe I’m stupid but why would they get a cut from us? They work for Harry not us. If they want some wedge they need to talk to him not us.

I don’t care what the results are this year, Ange needs two years minimum to fix this mess. The fans need to get behind him and the players and give the man time.
It does matter who the manager is, history has shown that. To fix the mess the architect of the constant failures needs to go.

Meanwhile, Liverpool just bid 100m for Caicedo having spent 100m already on Szozbolai and MacAllister to completely revamp their midfield, whilst we need to sell our best player to bring in another decent defender.

Feels like some of the other teams are upping it a bit now. City are City and Chelsea are Chelsea, but Arsenal have been showing ambition in spending like mad and Liverpool in one window seem to have done (at least on paper) an insane job in revamping their midfield. Newcastle will join the former two eventually and United will if they get their takeover too.

Would love for us to not just make signings to 'get by' but to really push the boat out a bit and show ambition. You would think if there was a time where we may appear to do so it would be in losing Kane but it's yet to feel like it. I am a bit concerned by the current links to players as of now but it only takes a moment for that to change, as unlikely as it may seem.

I’ve actually lost all desire to watch us this Sunday. I know it will come back, but this will take time to heal from. This hurts.

Watching SSN now and Paul Gilmour just came on a said his sources are saying some progress has been made on the issue tonight and direction of travel suggests the deal is possible. Says its an active situation that could change.

Seemed to suggest his sources were more cautious than their colleagues in Germany though.
Seems to suggest he knows nada but needs to lol like he does.

If anyone is feeling depressed I implore you not to read the third item in tomorrow's BBC gossip about a potential replacement.
I’d seriously consider stop watching Spurs if they signed him and I’ve watched us through thick and thin for over 60 years. He’s a complete waste of space, a flat track bulky with an over inflated opinion of his abilities. No thanks.

I can’t stomach Levy running this club anymore. What other chairman would sell their best asset 48hrs before the league starts. I just can’t. I’ll take a few days break from this forum. I think we are all hurting.

The time to push the boat out on signing was years ago. To put those. players around Kane.

Wanted the club to get compo

Feels he can break it one day

Wants the balon dor

They support there breadwinner

I’m sure there’s good ones

Let’s move on with it now
Why do I feel like if he's back it won't be with us. He knows the club will be done with him with this decision. He's the record goal scorer for us anyway, nobody will be breaking that soon, possibly ever. Whereas for the PL record he can continue to do it with other clubs.

Good luck to him, what a privilege to have watched him for so many years. Ridiculous that we never managed to get over the line in cup finals and some semis but we’ve also been competing against clubs that have been able to outspend us by a seemingly unlimited factor. Our failure has been our inability to maintain a well balanced team and playing style that could have given us more chances at silverware.

If this goes through as expected we’d better be acting quickly to bring in the players to give us that balance we so desperately need. I truly believe that’s the most important thing to aim for and it’s a hallmark of pretty much every successful team we’ve seen win trophies over the years.

Clearly it’s not enough to have one or two world class forwards while neglecting other areas of the pitch but this is also why it’s exciting to have Ange on board who has shown he understands this better than most.

I’m not mad but I will be if Levy fails to give the manager what he needs now that the dust has settled and we know where we stand. We have no choice but to wait and see if this time he’ll get the right deals done and with time running out I guess we’ll soon find out if there was indeed a proper plan in place.

Or maybe it's the complete opposite and he's genuinely thinking about his legacy and realising going abroad is the least damaging outcome?

We get cash to replace him and he doesn't leave on a free next summer to another PL rival.

I think people are really down playing or just not understanding the potential sacrifices Kane is potentially doing FOR the club.

All ifs and buts but if he was truly being 100% selfish he'd see out the year with us and sign ridiculous contract with City or Utd.
He’s not doing this for the club he’s doing for himself.
