It was strange him posting that on Instagram last night!
He might well be, given he is likely last man standing in the leadership group. It makes no difference to me as there will be a couple of VCs who will wear the armband more often.

You know what. I just reached acceptance in my five stages of grief.

fuck him. Time for the rest of them to stand up and be counted. Sometimes relying on one player seeps through the squad. Now they don’t have Kane to bail them out. Maybe other will weigh in. We got to a champions league final without him. And lost it with him.
Think you might still be at anger, mate.

Juve are also not in Europe, they need money, we have some.
Also don't underestimate the Premier league pull
He was Bayern's plan B, that's the level of club he'll be looking at. He may come if we were to offer crazy money, but we won't.

4th choice CB or our one remaining world-class player who captain's his country?

Sonny has to be nailed on to be captain.

Went to bed with the news Harry was going, woke up to the news Harry is going. Begs one question, what the hell were the night shift doing in here last night? The day shift changed the outcome 4-5 times yesterday and you couldn't change it once. Pfft.
You must have missed the bit where we were reported to be blocking the move while going over some finer details. That was the overnight report on SSN and then confirmed the green light after 9am. So there was still another bump in the road reported. All seems to be played out though like a wrestling promo.

Dier cannot be captain considering he will be leaving when his contract expires next year and other obvious reasons...

Hey - keep your chin up.

Would you have preferred we go backwards now with a big fee to use or next year with none? We can't change tides.

This is a rebuild and the best time for this is at the start of it all.
It is a rebuild yes, but when you rebuild a house you don't knock down foundations first that are making the house stand. You knock down the the shitty parts of the structure or the dead wood. Kane is everything the house should've been built around, the foundation of the squad. The fact the dead wood is still here is a joke, Dier, Sanchez and Ndombele to name a few are still on our books as we couldn't get enough for their scrappage.

IMO we delayed so we wasn't going to be registered in time for the game tomorrow

Bissouma seems to have been a revelation in terms of forging team spirit - massive love-in with the Spanish speakers especially.

Also going to be more important / assured his position in the team than Son IMO and hopefully around for a lot long

Eric Dier should be leaving not made captain. Absolutely ridiculous thought/suggestion.

If he sees out the final year as he wants to then he is fourth or fifth choice option.

Dier being Captain gives me Maguire/Utd vibes and look how that turned out!

He's already a maligned figure here Dier and I just think this would add fuel to the fire for fans who are looking to vent primarily at the board.

No one else wants them is the problem. No one wants to buy them and be saddled with their salaries for the next few years. That's why we're struggling to move them on, not that we're asking too high of fees for them since most of them will be leaving once their contracts expire anyway.

He wasn’t getting there in time to do a medical and train and then be included in the squad tomorrow anyway.
And to BM it’s not a big deal if a match so no need to rush him straight into it without at least one training session
