Look, I know no one's perfect. We all make mistakes.
But wouldn't it be nice if a referee actually held his hand up and came out publicly and admitted it?
w.

Now correct me if I'm wrong but in the OT match where Utd got the undeserved penalty against Gomes a coupla years back . Jenas made some comments in the press and the FA were after him . Then the ref came out and backed Jenas's criticisms of him . ..and rightly Jenas got off .

Sorry , don't remember the ref's name but he did publically admit to getting it wrong .

Wouldn't it be surreal if one day a ref made an important decision against Man U in a game vs Spurs at OT ?....but then I always was a fan of science fiction .

And another point now I'm here . In the dog eat dog world of top 4 competition , I have to say I approve of Harry making a stink about this decision . Any ref giving a costly decision against Man U KNOWS he'll get a pasting from red nose . Its good if refs know that if they do that to Spurs
they'll get that sort of treatment . Little things like this can have an effect sadly .

I like what Harry's doing here. Wether he means it or not, he's creating a seige mentality, us against the world and all that. It's just what we need IMO. For too long we've been all nicey nicey with everyone, time to toughen up a bit, and try to adopt the sort of mentality that chelsea and man utd have, in short a winners mentality.

Absolutely . Its sad in a way , but we're aiming high these days and its how things are . We must look for every advantage on and off the field .

He has a point though. They make the managers speak to the press every game but then they don't want them saying what they really think. What's the point? I love listening to the managers who don't just follow the norm. Holloway's rant over rooney the other week was classic.

Harry has pointed out the obvious in a respectful way. He was only questioning refereeing errors and not bias and didn't even mention the 3 yellow cards we received against none for ManU, which were completely out of context with the match.

Surely he will not be punished for that! This is only a brick in the wall.....should we make the referees accountable and openly admit mistakes?

No so fast......the ManU / referee / authorities blatant bias has been going on for years to the point where nobody is prepared to stand up and challenge even the most blatantly biased decisions. Fat Sam and Peter Reid were talking about Old Trafford matches on SKY at the weekend and said as much (without pushing their luck too far).

I expect that the less fashionable teams in the PL have stories of bias against them every week.

I am pleased that Harry stands up for what he believes in.

Well, Now I'm very happy with 2nd Man Utd, i understand Referees are humen and do mistakes as any, we get some advantages from them like vs Twente and disadvantage with some, but whih i really don't understand why most of our matches vs Man Utd come to like that each time ?

year after year, they get shocking decisions, including Wes Brown saving the ball like a schemiechel with his hand, Scholes didn't sent off for some crap tackles, O'Shea the same in Carling final ( before King tackle on Ronaldo which could be penalty but if O'Shea sent off, the whole match could change ! ) ..

i think it would be hard to beat them without our some tired players like Modric, and injuries like Dawson, King & Defoe, but to lose the game like that and our manager finaly treated it seriously ... I think Rednapp send good message to the likes of Webb or Clattenburg, they wouldn't get it easy if they do it again ( both help Man Utd in decision for at least TWICE in last 5 years ) ..

since Wenger, Mourinho & Ferguson benfite from these fines & bans to put the referees in pressures, so i would say thanks god and Mr. Clattenburg for this accident, we couldn't win it with 0-1 down and 5 mins left, but after that .. no worse rubbish by officials vs Man United ..

Now, come on Man Utd .. at White Hart Lane ..

I love you Harry !

He's fucking with the FA. It's obvious they've already asked him to take over from Capello once they get rid and now he knows he has them by the balls.

why does everyone care so much about this? we were gonna lose anyway...

let's move on.

Man Utd conceded two very late goals against Everton earlier this season to draw the game even though almost everyone had thought that Everton would lose the game as they were in the relegation zone and had (at that point of time) not yet won a league game this season.

I honestly couldn't see us scoring in that game, no matter how much time was left, or what the score was.

I don't want it to be an excuse for losing, when as soon as VDV went off, our goal scoring chances where almost zero in itself.

Still, he has a fair enough point to make though, and I agree with him,

I'm sorry but this is totally beyond what is right and reasonable, for me. Utterly unacceptable. Harry has taken our fine club through the fucking gutter with his disgraceful, and frankly dishonest, quotes. He's an embarrassment to Tottenham Hotspur.

I mean, just look at this:

(Mark Clattenburg) is a good, honest guy and a good referee

I mean, let's just have a little look at that again. In slow motion:

(Mark Clattenburg) is a good, honest guy and a good referee

Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting. And he kisses Sandra goodnight with that mouth.

Makes me want to fucking vomit.

He's bang on though. I've even got Arsenal fans in the office sympathising with me about how it was a ridiculous situation.

He has really put the ball in their court as if they do not act now it could be perceived that they are weak and have backed down after Harrys comments.

Either way I hope Harry pisses them off so they will never offer him the England job!

Harry gets a warning about his comments. No Formal action will be taken.

Is this the closers the FA will come to saying that a Ref fucked up?

They couldn't slam him in case the future England Manager really did carry out his media boycott.

I know, but all they are trying to do is sweep it under the carpet and hope it goes away.

Poor timing to release the statement, so close to a huge game for us.
Harry hasn't gotten any answers from the FA of the ref yet.

Harry could keep this rolling if he wishes. After match interview could be interesting...
