Yep, moany, as every team bar the goons and manure would take him... Otherwise I'm more than happy with Harry, he's a genius... Just need to work out a better way of finding targets and bringing them in as the current system is a crock.

4th!

So who is a realistic target?

I'm not saying others can't do it succesfully, I just struggle to think of top quality managers who are realistic targets who could do a better job than Harry working with a DOF.

I'm not disagreeing with you. I don't like HR but don't see who we can get that isn't already coveted by huge clubs or isn't a massive risk.

DL could have helped by having a coherent, realistic transfer policy

We need to be careful what we wish for. Remember what happened last time we sacked a good 5th place manager for Ramos?

I think Harry needs to accept a DoF though, and if he doesnt then he needs to go. Our buying strategy is non existent.

Harry is a good coach and has an eye for a player. But I dont think he will ever get value for money from buys. Management is more than enough for Harry without having to scout players too.

I say get Arnesen back.

This window shows me one thing. The world of football has gone totally fcking mad. The amount of money floating around is quite simple pathetic. (Really hope some sort of regulation regarding transfer fees and wages would come soon)

Liverpool just spent 60mill on an unproven premier league player with a bad temper. A guy that was just out for 9 games cause he bit another player :/ and another one with a temper that has played quite well for half a fcking season only in the premier league. A guy who today states he didnt want to sign for pool but was forced out the door in Newcastle.

All pool fans I have spoken to today says that pool has truly gone insane with what happened last night.

As Andyw362 said and I agree we need to be careful what we wish for.
Harry has done an unbeliveable job since his arrival at the lane. His stock has taken a considerable dip since the close of the window, as we got ourselves all exited expecting to see Benzema, Suarez et all arriving at out beloved club to shot us to a top four finish again. However we can have no way of knowing what actually went on behind the scenes, we don't actually know how close we came to signing any of those players. We don't know if it was down to Harry not knowing who he wanted or Dainel trying to get too much out of the deal. Although if we did actually only offer £250K for PN, then that is a joke, as is leavind Charlie Adam to the last minute, but again we don't know how close to the truth these statements are.

It is now closed, thank God. As we have spent very little this window, we should have a v healthy wedge for the summer (we might even have someone lined up for then a la Modric's signing). Its now up to Harry and the current squad to work to the best of their collective abilities to get us as high up the league as possible, (and our job as fans to try and encourage and support OUR team as much as is humanly posible) and lets just hope that's enough for us to hold onto our best players for next season, while adding more quality.
