Care to expand on that? I think McDermott did a brilliant job making them both PL footballers.
The loans were poor and terrible, that isn't McDermotts fault but more Timmy's but then in his defence he tried to get the management to integrate them and back then there was a refusal from both harry and AVB

I think injuries have been masons biggest problem the guy can't get a break, as soon as he gets a run together he gets a big injury.

I really like Mason and rate him, but winks is a far better cm, Carrol is a great player and shining at Swansea but I think there system really suits him.

I'm sure something similar has been said in this thread several times already but if Winks doesn't make it and become one of the best all round midfielders in the PL, I will rip my cock off, cook it in the microwave for 4 minutes and sprinkle the remains over a tuna and sweet corn pasta bake before scoffing it down, shitting it out, placing the shit back in the microwave and doing it all over again until I die.

I feel even more excited about Winks than I did about Alli last season. And I love Alli to bits. It obviously helps that he's a true yiddo.

I'm with yeah, and shame on everyone else who wouldn't do the same. This is what really support looks like.

That's genuinely disgusting - I mean, with tuna and sweet corn, really?

Do people have tuna pasta bake without sweetcorn?

I once went on a date with a girl who talked about eating sweetcorn daily... All I could think about from that moment on is her poop and how corn ridden it fucking must be

Ahhh man

Is Stones good enough to play out of position in midfield just because he's a bit better on the ball than your average English clogger but can't defend for shit? Not so sure on that.
not sure to be honest but can't actually clone Eric Dier so will have to make do for now

Talk about piling the pressure on young Harry.. he looks like he could make it though. If not you can always do a Kaz Hirai and fake news it

But contrary to the internet manager's opinion finding good loans for willowy little midfielders in the football league is bloody near impossible. And the amount of options are limited. I'll give you that Mason's Lorient loan was bizarre to say the least but otherwise I don't think there was much to complain about.

Injuries were the thing that meant we never we'd never really get to know whether Mason could have achieved more. And Carroll is just what he is - a talented ball player, but not someone who was ever going to reach the highest echelons of the game.

Carrolls loan to derby was bizarre considering they had a wealth of first team CM's and hence why he played as a right winger for them as they were obligated to play him. The loan to QPR was poor as Harry wasnt interested in playing any football at all, the style of play was horrendous, a club like Brentford would have been better like it was for Pritchard. Swansea was a great loan but we should have recalled him as soon as Swansea had no interest of playing him after we refused to sell.

Mason's loans to QPR was strange given the fact we had loaned two other players and that they didnt need an AM when they played Harry there.

See the second doncaster loan, I can forgive because his first loan there was a moderate success and the manager got sacked very soon in to the loan

Both players had the potential to be better and that doesnt mean to be the best but we will never know. For example danny rose wouldn't be at spurs if there wasnt an injury crisis at Bristol city and he was pushed to LB

Dembele is one of the best CM's in Europe when on form. Everyone says he's the toughest player to play against. You cant just drop that.
He might be the toughest to play against because you can't get the ball off him, and he can dribble past you easily, but the end product is almost always a safe pass.

Winks will put someone in a dangerous position to score/assist.

The opposition back 4 would fear that more I feel.

http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2017/03/1...e-prospect-of-tottenhams-harry-winks-represe/

Spanish football journalist Guillem Balague has taken to Twitter to rule out the prospect of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks representing Spain at international level.

A recent report from the Mirror claimed the European giants were looking into the possibility of Winks being illegible for them via his grandparents’ heritage.

However, Balague has now written the following on social media, seemingly ruling out what would have always been an unlikely twist:

“On Harry Winks: His great grandparents (not his grandparents) are Spanish which doesn’t qualify him to play for Spain. The Spanish FA know it.”

Yeah but my point being - you don't know whether there was anyone interested in loaning them at that time. It's impossible for us to say what was a good or bad loan as we have no idea what the options were.

I know its Ballbag and all that but i like the fact that the Spanish FA considered it.
