Genuinely surprised that he's dropped down a tier. With some of the half arsed performances he put in over the years in lesser European competitions I'd have expected him to see the Championship as below him.

Agree with this. His progression really suffered once we started employing managers that expected midfielders to defend space and hold shape, rather than get on the ball and dictate.

Ultimately he was never good enough to be a certain starter for us. But under the right manager I think he could developed into a handy squad player.
I think it was more of a physical problem and then his confidence suffered from that. If you watch the earlier clips of him, the key difference is that he was able to get himself away from pressure and take on players to drive forward. Once he came back from that injury he was never the same.

Granted Mourinho, Nuno and Conte haven't helped.

I think he wants to play. Also I think Leicester will come back up next season.

Since he’s has the ankle op he’s done well albeit in a poor team. He’s far too good for the championship and I think Will really shine next season. Good luck to him

Good luck to the lad if this goes through. I’ve always said he’s not a DM, he is an 8, and I think his ankle injury really did halt him.

Honestly shocked he was moved on so quickly. Just felt like it would linger like it did last year.

Worth remembering he has more England caps than Maddison. There’s a tidy player in there. Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s player of the season in the championship. Good luck Winksy!

Good luck to him, hope he can re-build his career there.

When he was at his best in peak pochball I really enjoyed watching Winks play, shame it didn't work out for him.

Harry Winks’ loan with Sampdoria officially ends today, which will allow Leicester to confirm his £10million transfer this weekend. Curiously he made 203 apps for #THFC - the same number Maddison made for #LCFC. A key figure under Poch, move suits everyone

Spurs fan that used to watch from the stands and then came through the academy to make over 200 appearances for the first team?

I won't wish him any sentiment other than good luck and that he'll be welcome back at The Lane whenever he wants.
