Taking a step back, Poch’s transfer record is not all that great, when you look over his career. N’Dombele was just one of many failures he signed for us.

N’Koudou, N’Jie, N’Dombele, Yedlin, GLC, Aurier, Janssen. All not great, and represent weak spots in our team which needed filled at the time. This contributed to our need for a rebuild as there were no new guys coming through to refresh the first team.

Of the good buys, I would say Dier, Moura, Toby, Wanyama, Davies. Of those, he had been scouted Wanyama by Southampton and had already signed him once, think the same goes for Toby.

Poch is a great coach, but I don’t think he’s good at spotting a player!

Just goes to show that talent only takes you so far. He's got it in spades but his career at any meaningful level is coming to an end unless he has a road-to-Damascus moment
