Lol sorry wasn't just directed at you but it's the most commonly posted question on SC, from Chiriches to Dembele to Townsend to every player we're linked with, half of SC is obssessed with shoe horning a player into lb rather than the club doing something crazy and actually buying a lb. I even started a parody thread asking if my hamster could play lb
Np, I think a lot of it is down to there not being many genuine quality LB's out there that are available. It might be an option to just get somebody in thats solid defensively, left footed, that can do a job for us there short term.

I did hear people saying your hamster wasn't a great lb but that he was quite a bit better than Danny Rose, so can we have him as our fall back option for next season if we can't find a decent LB? ;)

Reported Tottenham target and Espanyol defender Hector Moreno has reportedly suffered a fractured tibia on Mexican duty. #THFC

How long out will he be out do we reckon?

Too late for the summer sales I imagine, if there's no complications these days breaks seem pretty quick to repair but building the leg back up and getting back to full fitness will take some weeks. I'd imagine most interested clubs will choose to wait and see in Jan or switch targets if their need is more urgent

I'm not a doctor but I think fractures of that kind these days can be 2 - 3 month jobs. Either way - let's hope if he was in our plans we don't just think we're better off sticking with what we've got

Manolas of Greece looks decent...

or we agree to the Lovren fee now that our most plausible alternative is out of action.

Two way street unfortunately. If we step up our efforts now, they'll know exactly why and could even raise the price.

It's times like this, love him or hate him, I'm glad Levy is on our side.

Don't think Lovren and Moreno is a case of one or the other. Lovren RCB unless I'm mistaken, replacement for Dawson/Kaboul, Moreno is a LCB, competition got Jan.

IIRC, Lovren played LCB for Southampton this season, even though he's right footed.

Certainly comfortable on the left side.

That's very unfortunate. Moreno is a very good player, but we need to buy players that can step in right away in August and help us. We should go in for Fabian Schar. Switzerland looked much better when Hitzfield finally inserted him in the lineup against Honduras. Would make a great pairing with Vertonghen, as he's powerful in the air.

Not really a show stopper I think. If our medical team deem it to be an uncomplicated injury, wouldn't be the end of the world if we were still buy him, for an even cheaper fee, and have him back player in October. Would give him time to adapt to the UK and the club in general at least.

Hector Moreno's surgeon has claimed his client will be out for around six months. Unlikely to move until next summer, it seems.

That is very unfortunate. It'll probably be at least until Christmas.

 DaSpurs > physioroom

Hate to hear it for the player though. That has to be excruciating considering not only was he unable to help his team see out that game last week, but it seems he may not have been content at his club any more either.
