Me too.Robofan's posts are good enough for me to believe Gomes has indeed been enjoying the free use of our facilities.

I find it hard to believe PSV would allow a multi-million pound asset to risk injury unless the transfer had been concluded, and the first instalment of the transfer fee safely deposited in Eindhoven. So, whilst I accept your good faith, I'd like to see a picture of him training or the official site to confirm the transfer & WP approval.
can anyone remember a case of one of our transfer targets failing through due to failure to obtain a work permit?

Okay. g_harry has me feeling much better. Still don't understand why its not official if Jo is, but that confirms. Sorry if i doubted you robo
Ditto. It certainly does look like Gomes, and unless both Spurs & PSV were totally confident the deal will go through, there's no way he'd been allowed to train with us.
So, the Gomes deal is now effectively Done & Dusted!
It is definitely gomes, as RF has said he's training with us.
But until that work permit actually arrives at NI7, I assume it hasn't yet, I still won't officially relax
But it does just seem a formality -
Of course it's worth remembering what happened when Ghaly went training while waiting for a permit - that cost us the thick end of £3m quid!!!!!
I'm pretty sure that is Jake Livermore and not Gomes
