I hate to say it, but he's an idiot. He seems to have taken the attitude that he can say what he likes, without realising that only top top players can mouth off at will, and then only when they've been recognised as star players and even then it's not set in stone that they'll get away with it.

If the likes of Ronaldinho pisses his club off and they want shot of him, there'll be loads of other top flight clubs happy to take him on, because of his skill and rep. But Ghaly isn't a top player and the only reputation he's built is of an arrogant, mouthy whinger.

Best of luck in the rest of your career, Hossam. I get the distinct feeling you're going to need it.

This article is utter bullshit it seeems, hossam said on a TV channel that he had no problems with Jol, so his departure doesn't mean that he will be back to the team under Ramos.

He said the administration and some fans don't want him back and that is the problem so he is considering his options and looking for a move in January.

I didn't want him to stay anyway! Waste of bloody space.

The quicker he gets OFF our wage book, the better.

I'd have liked to have seen him be given another chance.

Bit unfair, K. He was good at getting into dangerous positions and if he could have contented himself with putting in a simple cross (which he could do very well) he would be much more highly rated. He would, of course, try some Hollywood pass that was never on, or try and dribble through about five defenders, which is the sort of stuff that drove Gullit and Koeman and that other bloke at Feyenoord up the wall. I also have fond memories of him clattering Ballack and Lampard within the space of thirty seconds. He'd certainly done enough to earn a squad place for a second season until he made a total knob of himself.

I have too admit I would as well, Never got his chance in his natural CM role for example. Thats bound to frustrate him, and although throwing the shirt is completely unacceptable i remember a few fans favourites throwing hissy fits.

Oi, idiots (looks like I'm allowed to call you all idiots)...

The only quote in the whole article is...

But Ghaly said: "The arrival of Ramos won't change the situation. It wasn't only Jol, I also had a lot of troubles with the board and the fans. All I am focused on is getting prepared to play with Egypt in the Arab Games."

...and there's nothing wrong with that. I would barely even believe the quotes in the papers sometimes.

Seriously, guys. This is just a newspaper, yeah?

Hossam Ghaly debuts with Lierse loss to Zulte-Waregem in the Belgian league opener on Saturday

Mahmoud Elassal, Saturday 27 Jul 2013
Egypt midfielder Hossam Ghaly played through the full 90 minutes during Lierse's 2-1 loss to Zulte-Waregem in the Swiss league opener on Saturday.
Ghaly, who recently joined Lierse on a free transfer after his contract with Egyptian giants Ahly expired, was included in the Belgian football club's starting lineup and remained infield during the game's run-through.
The 31-year-old midfielder, who hails from Ahly's youth ranks, made his first-team debut in 2001 before joining Dutch FC Feyenoord two years later. He also played for Tottenham Hotspur in England from 2006 to 2009, which included a short loan stint with Derby County.
He returned to Ahly in the summer of 2010 after ending a spell at Saudi Arabia's Al-Nassr, leading the club to the Egyptian Premier League title in 2011 and the African Champions League crown in 2012.
Lierse, owned by Belgian-Egyptian businessman Maged Samy, ended this season's Belgian league at the 14th place with 24 points, 43 behind title winners Anderlecht.

I had a picture with Ghaly back in the day. Though that was before his infamous being subbed off.

He loved his chipped through balls, I wonder if he ever got an assist with one?
