Hey guys I'm staying near hammersmith tube. What's the best route just take the purple to the blue and then get off at seven sisters and walk? Where should I go to grab some pints before.

Forgive me if this is always answered but I'm way too excited.

"Take the purple to the blue".

In the nicest possible way, you're definitely not from London are you :ROFLMAO:

But yes, the simplest way would be as you've described. Someone else may be able to answer if going to Liverpool St and getting the mainline to White Hart Lane station would be quicker?

I've been rocking the purple all day forget the name. Though I do remember Victoria is blue. Will a zone two ticket be okay? I've got a24 hour zone 1 and 2. Just curious if there is a presence I should feel by not taking the mainline. What time do the pubs open or maybe a cheaper store I can get merchandise.

Do you mean Hammersmith or Hampstead?

Hammersmith isn't near the purple line but Hampstead is. Hammersmith's nearest lines are pink and yellow.

Either way, heading for Seven Sisters is easiest way there for someone not used to travelling around London. There are some part closures on the tube but none should affect you but you can check here anyway: http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/livetravelnews/realtime/tube/default.html

When you get to Seven Sisters, just follow the crowd up Tottenham High Road. It's a 20-30 minute walk. There are plenty of pubs about. So of the most poular are The Bricklayers Arms, The Bell and Hare, The Gilpen Bell. The Bell and Hare is just before the stadium, the others are all after the stadium on the High Road. Get there early as they fill up quickly.

Enjoy the day :)

Yeah hammer smith is on the purple on the Piccadilly. But I think it has more to it there. And crap it considered zone 3.

Seven Sisters is in Zone 3 so you'll need a zone 1-3 travel card.

If you do want to get the mainline, go to Liverpool Street Station and get the train from there (to White Hart Lane station). It's probably not much quicker but it's a much shorter walk to the stadium.

There are a few official stores dotted around, biggest being on the south west corner but there are a few street vendors around selling cheap scarfs, t-shirts , badges etc. They are normally on the High Road, half way up the stadium, or just north of the stadium.

Are you confusing purple (Metropolitian Line) with pink (Hammersmith and City)?

Aha No! My stops have been hammersmith Hyde park earls court Piccadilly Circus st pancras. Dont think I'll be buying off people in the streets. But I'll definitely stop at a store before hand.

And yes sir.

That's the Dark Blue line (Picadilly) There are some part closures tomorrow, but shouldn't affect you.

Oops. Sorry. Bad eyes. You think 12 is a good time to get there? I don't want to be drunk out of my mind before I walk in.

I think the pubs open at 11am so 12 should be OK. The pubs are usually mega busy so you won't have time to get drunk.
