How many points will we get from our first 6 games?

I'm seeing alot of predicitions that we will lose away at Chelski which is a surprise given our record against them (anywhere) over the last few years! If we play to form we will draw at the bridge, at home to Man U and win the rest.

I actually suspect that the toughest games will be away at Hull and the Spammers.

Not worried about Mancs or Chelsea at all.

think its fair to say a team wont stay at the same level forever, and more so for a team like tottenham. The fact is harry have drastically improved the team and confidence is on a high. I predict that our away form will be much much better this season.

I think its fair to say we will at least get 14 points from 6 games and more importantly 18 points from 8 games

bukside, thats ten points.

Realistically we are capable of not losing:

Liverpool D(W)
Hull W
West Ham W
Birmingham W
Man Utd D
Chelsea D

Which would be 14 points, although, I suspect we could draw with either Hull or Hammers, and poss lose to Utd or Chelsea.

So I'll stab a prediction at 12 points from the first 6 games.
Winning 3 and drawing 3 :)

Totally optomistic, and if we lose to Hull, I'll change it to 6 points ;-)

8pts. And i'd be very happy with that. 8pts from 6 games and 3 of the top 4 out of the way. 1.34 pts per game which is a 50pt season IF you had to play a top for side every other game. You don't.

I'm confused.

Ignore me.

I agree.

Some of the deluded posts in this thread are just the reason why rival supporters rip the piss out of us so much!

Yeah I just want to think we are capable :)

The spurs way is to go to Hull and lose miserably :-(

I feel very sorry for any supporter who cannot be optimistic, ambitious, and expect the best.

Like I said, 14 points would be the result of just sticking to last seasons equivalent results. We've already done that against Liverpool

Have you eaten your hat yet from last year?

With a dash of salt and a nice chianti

I don't mind being wrong due to over optimism, it's nice to feel good about things. Always open to having it rubbed in.

And I'll gladly rub it in when my optimism is justified in the face of negativity.

I guess one could say that I'm happily lacking in magnanimity :-D

If we lose the next 5 games and I get ribbed, fair enough. I still prefer to have high hopes! Aim for the stars and you might reach the moon I say!

Don't feel sorry for me I just live in the 'real' world. the world where spurs rarely live up to expectations. Always lose games they are expected to win but then go and win games that no one gives them a hope in hell of winning.

Living in the real world means I am rarely disapointed and don't add to the reputation spurs supporters have of being unrealistic and deluded.

That's nice for you.

I live in a fairytale world where Spurs are always in the verge of greatness. This leads me to being able to say 'told ya so' after predicting league cup semi finals of Chelsea and Arsenal in 2002 and 2008 respectively, which is very sweet indeed.

Hull W
West Ham D
Birmingham W
Mancs D
Chelsea L

Total Points: 11 pts

Although my spurs cynicism gut feeling is that we'll lose to Hull i'm just trying to be optimistic after yesterday.

Real world, my arse. This is football we're talking about. How did Spurs do against Liverpool in your "real world"? Oh, what's the point...

After Sunday's performance I'm pretty confident of maximum points from those first six games. OK, maybe one draw. 16 points.

Can you feel my confidence around our Away Form? ;-)

Last season, when I reckon in relation to each of those teams we were worse by comparision to now, we took 7 points from those three away games. Not saying we'll do the same here (though I have predicted as much) but fewer than 4 would surprise me.

The feeling is back...after 25+ years (I have felt it before...but there was no substance, before). Ofcourse, being Yids, we are bound to mess up...somewhere along the line...but even still, we can out fight Pool, Manure, Scum and Chelski. We have proved that we are superior, at home, to a favored Pool. There is no doubt that our downfall lies in the mid table games, where we are backed to win, and win comfortably? It's vital that we accept our 'star quality' with a typical THFC coolness etc? We KNOW that we are a great club...and, we, now, have the ability to prove the doubters wrong? It has been too many years in the doldrums....but the winds of change are finally blowing a healthier gale....What a feeling it is? COYS.
By the way....I predict a 14-16 point haul by game 7.....(dreams are made to be achieved?)
