gibbs, do you seriously think what he wrote was appropriate? if it was anybody other than me having a go at him, would you actually hold the same view?

If he meant it it would be inappropriate.

It was so far out nasty that it was obviously "woah, haha. Say what you really mean" reaction rather than me thinking he meant a single word he said.

He may, take a dump on Ian Wrights grave though. A few drinks, you never know. If he gets there after midnight he may not have to queue for very long.

It gets lost on people with a relaxed brain mate! I must thank him for the negative kudos too!!

You kept on taking it up a notch and I could had visions of him making screen shots of him giving neg rep, printing it, and putting it on his wall of smacked bums he deals with here in SC.

Hahahah sounds like a fulfilling life he leads. I can just imagine him gurning to the picture below in the middle of an angry wank!

Very nice boys, I raise a perfectly valid objection to some quite vile comments, regadless who they are about, and you respond like this. Says far more about you than it does about me, I'll tell you that much.

Trust me, there isn't a soul out there more passionately repulsed by Arsenal than I am, I just choose not to compromise the boundries of appropriate social behaviour by joking about death on a day when a much loved person has passed on. You should read the tribute thread in general chat to Sir Bobby, maybe that will make you want to be a bit ore respectful.

Did you have a nice joke about plane crashes on September 11th 2001 as well?

My point is not that I think he meant it, I'm assuming (or hoping, because given his general tone I would not be shocked) that it was a joke, but that doesn't make it any less sickening. I'm sorry, it just doesn't. For the record, I'm not averse to a good death joke either, but actually wishing it on somebody is derranged, however it is intended.

I don't want them all dead sort of hate. Our rivals yes, but still from our part of the world. Fair play, their club has achieved and that gives them credit. Really dislike West Ham!! Annoying club!

Not that much to be fair...I mean..they piss me off and I like it when they lose...and I love it when we beat them...but i can't be bothered to hate them, and in their unbeaten season enjoyed watching them play and had to respect them for what the achieved!

I pretty much agree with everything you said.

healthy rivalry is fine - piss taking is a given- but I cannot beleive some of the vicious stuff that is spouted.

When you get to my age you realise there are worse things in life than arsenal.

its different for me seeing that i was born in canada, live in america, and therefore dont have to put up with the constant annoyance of gooners. i love it when we beat them (only happened once in my lifetime though), like it when the suffer/struggle/lose, but it cant compare to my love towards spurs. at the moment i actually dislike manure fans much more. that said once the season starts and ive had to endure some stupid bandwagoing idiotic wenger cock sucking gooners im sure ill start hating them more.

Reg: If you want to join the People's Front of Judea, you have to really hate the Romans.
Brian: I do!
Reg: Oh yeah, how much?
Brian: A lot!
Reg: Right, you're in.

I don't actually hate Arsenal - I dislike Liverpool more. One of my first memories of football is cheering when Michael Thomas scored that goal so Liverpool didn't win the league. This is obviously because of where I am from. So don't hate me.

I used to absolutely hate them. But now I realise that Spurs would benefit much more if I invested that energy in supporting them.

Well said BBLG, some people need to grow up and get some perpective.

Me, i dont like the scum but i would rather channel my energy into Spurs than wasting oxygen on Arse or Chelski.

Otherwise we become the Man City of the south, very bitter

I don't find the hate as strong now they don't have players like Adams, Keown & Cole & all those other twats (I even like Arshavin!) but I guess its probably different living so far away even if my best mate & my boss are scum lovers. The banter is all part of the fun.

More than anything its the constant bumming from the media that grinds my gears rather than the club/team itself.

A Scotsman with a chip on his shoulder over the English football media? There's a shock for you all.

Now come on boys, we're all on the same side. Healthy discussion good, personal insults bad.

Nothing gave me greater pleasure than when I played in a 5 a side tournament at Highbury.
After the games finished I had a couple of light ales and managed to clear my system in the car park under the legends staircase..... Very relieved and satisfying

When i started secondary school in 2000 and til about 2005 being a Spurs fan was rough at my school. AS most of my mate were mainly Arsenal fans I hated Arsenal so much. The likes of Martin Keown, Patrick Viera, Judas, Lauren, Eboue, Henry, Lehmann and Pires I hated with a passion. When Jusas betrayed us I was heartbroken. During that time when they were winning things I hated them so much, but now they are not doing so well their fans have quiten down, not so. Although I still hate them but not as much as i did from 2000-2005. Man Utd(Since they take our key players) are close to Arsenal in terms of hatred, then Chelsea.

Hate's an emotion, and emotions can be embarassing and misleading. I hold them in utter contempt for what they have always stood for. Such a contrast with the Spurs. Contempt is so much more meaningful that hatred.
