How will Mr Levy keep the faith?

Hi SC community ,

I very rarely post anything these days but I still read the forums most days to find out how the community is thinking on the lastest saga's to hit our beloved club.

So after the last few weeks , with all that has gone on with the transfers rumours , players leaving , players joining , the tapping up of RK and DB and the statements issued by Mr Levy I got thinking and got worried.

Daniel levy and his staff have done an exeptional job for our club over the last few seasons and have pushed us forward into contention for winning cups and european football (both achieved) and most fans will be dreaming of CL football which is within our grasp.

What worries me is that after all the ongoing troubles this summer with Liverscum and Manure will Levy lose his faith in the way things are done in football these days. Mr Levy is a business man and his recent comments , although justified concern me.
Can he cope in the long run with the back handed way most football clubs are run??? and more imprtantly will he want too?

I hope he and enic stay here for a long time and keep pushing us forward but am I right to be worried that he may grow tired of the *football way of doing things* and sell up?

I agree in the change of formation, and we witnessed it last night, I think we're going to pack the midfield with creative talent, and play Darren Bent as the lone striker to chase balls down and win the ball, as well as grabbing a few goals himself.

I think this is a good article and might explain some regarding the Keane issue.

I tend to agree with it. Levy is far too hard assed to throw his toys out of his pram unless there is more to it.

When United came in for Berbatov we told them how much it would cost to buy him, they didn't match that valuation and as a result he's still at the club.
When Liverpool came in for Keano they did match our valuation so we sold him. I was very surprised that they were willing to pay £19million+ for him as I have no doubt we can replace him for less so I should imagine Ramos/Levy felt the same.
I think Levy saw an opportunity to placate the fans who saw Keano as a legend and felt we shouldn't sell him at any cost by shifting the blame on to Robbie.

The fact that we have 'appeared' to price Berbatov out of a move would suggest we intend to keep him, or as with Keane, get well above the market price enabling us to improve further.
