According to the Mail, Hudd is in line for a call up after impressing Capello with his composure. The Hudd was left out of the U21 squad having previously made 25 appearances. Lennon was also left out of the U21's after being in the squad for the last game, but O'Hara keeps his place in the squad.

So does Hudd really warrant an England role and just how many players could we end up with in the 30 man squad? (Possibly Robbo, King, Woodgate, Dawson, Huddlestone, Jenas, Lennon, Bent)

if he were to get a game and give a good account of himself surely his stock would rise, it may also give him the confidence to raise his game to the next level.

Plus it would be another to add to our list of England internationals in the squad.

Heres hoping

He might actually suit International football more than the Premiership. If he has time on the ball, he definately has the ability to flourish.

Could be a very interesting England squad with the likes of Agbonlahor, Noble, Huddlestone, Walcott, Beckham mentioned. Also I think Defoe would be really unlucky to miss out as he has been on fire of late

He may just have been dropped from the u-21 squad. Pearce has suggested there is no point playing players that he knows well through playing many times for the u-21s - far more constructive to look at the likes of Ohara.

I think he's more use to England than players like Nolan, Barton etc. Atleast he can make things happen I think he warrants a place.

Owen has more of a chance to be dropped!

I think he will be more suited to the International style than the premiership. Internationals are more cagey and played at a slower pace so he would be able to rip teams apart with his passing ability. The premiership is played at a million miles an hour and you have to be a lot more mobile to stand out.

Capello is a breath of fresh air!

Well done to The Hudd if he gets the call.

Cappello loves Jenas so he will make it. Lennon was borderline last time round so wont be supprised if hes picked, and Hudd could well get in. Woody yes. Ledly will get in if tottenham will let him, but if not then he wont go, the same as last time. Robbo no clue, prob. not. But I dont know thats up to the gaffer to deside.

pearce said a few shocks were in store so would make sense if it was a player like huddlestone being given the chance

ramos needs to give the guy regular play till the end of the season now to see if he can prove himself properly

Missed this thread when it was started.

As soon as I heard Huddlestone and Lennon were both left out of the U21 squad I had a positive feeling that they would indeed be in the full squad. Despite the stick Lennon has received lately, I think he's been impressive lately, and the only reason he was in the last U21 squad was because Pearce wanted experience for the qualifier IIRC.

Huddlestone has been changing games for us lately, Capello watches a lot of us, and i'm sure he has noted it too. Tonight was just another example of how good this lad can be. Fully deserved if he gets it, and could fit in well at International level.
