Would rather pay money to watch the cumbersome one than the anonymous one :)

You probably prefer a tall drink with an umbrella in it to double malt too I would guess.

Some of us take substance over style. Each to his own I guess ?

I don't mind Jenas actually, he's not a bad player and I thought he would of turned out better if I'm honest after the early promise - and if he stays he'll be a low maintenance and useful squad player I would imagine.

We'll never agree on what Hudd brings, or doesn't bring in your case, so its all a bit futile anyway. Many will share your opinion, many mine.

The game is about opinions after all.

Hudd can definitely pick a pass out with great precision.

I'd give him another chance to prove his worth.

I've never used the "friendly" before. Felt gay.

We all know what BFS loves to play, and I would say that it's something Hudd would be very good at delivering. For that reason alone we shouldn't be selling him to West Ham.

If that reason was actually a reason. Some would suggest that dynamism is pretty fundamental to BFS's (whoever that is) system. Something Hudd struggle with.

Far too ineffectual a player, cash in and use the money to obtain far more dynamic players that bring something more to the team.

Shame... if only the guy stopped growing and had some get up and go about him he's of turned into a real gem, but alas this isn't the case so people need to see the grander picture. He won't get many games in an AVB team.

Why it's Big Fat Sam of course! Imagine him chucking pinpoint long balls at whatever lump he gets in at Spam for some foraging little guy to feed off of, he'd be great at that!

If the price is right I wouldn't mind selling mr Hundredstone. Though I'm guessing no team would want to risk spending alot on him provided he's just back from a long term injury and in no way is fit for 90min.

I don't particularly dislike Huddlestone, he has decent technique and is neat and tidy on the eye. However, due to this, people mistake him for being a lot more than he actually is. His goal/assist return since he's been with us is so-so and very, very rarely will dictate a game the way many Spurs fans will claim he does.

His weaknesses outwiegh his positives in my book. Decent squad option for some home games v lower league teams where he gets the freedom of The Lane, but shouldn't be anywhere near first choice 11 in most other occasions.

Good midfields will bypass him. They always have, they always will.

Sorry, I actually thought your phone had autocorrected AVB to BFS and you were referring to AVB's system. My mistake.

So your argument is he'd fit BFS (it's growing on me now) system so that's why we shouldn't sell him. Get ya. I wouldn't worry, BFS doesn't bother with the midfield, the ball usually goes from defence to big lump up front fairly directly. hhmm...Might get blocked by Hudds fro tho. We should definitely sell him.

The style that AVB wants to play actually reduces the area of play. That would require nippy players playing quick pass and turn.
with 20 outfield players crowding an area of say 50x60m there can't be that many occasions for long raking passes out to an unmarked team-mate.

Hudds would not suit us if that's how we play.

AVB played a player named Fredy Guarin in his midfield. He wasn't particularly fast or short but had great technique and could pick a pass with precision. Oh and he could score a goal from range from time to time. God I wish we had a player like that in our midfield.

...when under little pressure and generally raking passes out wide rarely through the opposition.

Great technique, but his footballing brain and physical capabilities don't back the style with a great deal of substance. Decent player, but no more.

I absolutely hate this line that gets trotted out - as if people who rate him are somehow lacking insight, and don't factor in his shortcomings and therefore have a totally deluded opinion of him.
