when will he learn that if we miss a player all he needs to do is just replace that player??....

i mean krancjar is cup tied so why not just put bentley (if he wants to play him, i wouldnt cos the dude is a serious waste of space) in his place & keep the basis of the team shape thats put us 3rd in the prem??

playing lennon onthe left for 75 minutes is complete nonsense....he would have created far more in his usual position for sure...

also why the hell is he showing so much disrespect to pav?...if he wants to sell him fine...but not even giving him 10 mins tonight is a joke imo...i feel sorry for the lad....

like i said i love harry but sometimes he does do strange things!!

Before the game I thought that we would play Bale left midfield and maybe swap Keane for Defoe.

He played Lennon on the left because he can play there, and he did play well. Whereas Bentley has been completely incapable whenever playing on the left or right.

My question is where is Giovani? I don't understand why he is not our 2nd choice right winger. That seriously baffles me.

Edit- I don't ever want to see us playing a front two of Keane and Crouch upfront, the lack of pace and power in that undynamic duo is shocking.

I thought he could have switched Lennon sooner, taken off Bentley and give Rose a go on the left.

I think Rose is either very average or just not ready yet, I don't think he's good enough right now.

Don't think giving Rose a go would have helped but I doubt the lord almighty would have made us play better tonight. We were poor, lets move on and forget about it

Yeah, Harry needs to learn! We weren't unlucky. Harry is stupid, I have been a far better manager than him.

sorry but today was about individual performances ..

Palacios losing possession serveral times as always ..

Defoe still not playing as team-mate by deciding to shot instead of playing it Keane who was free upfront empty goal ( it was 0-1 and should 1-1 )

then Keane missed other one ..

Bentley trying to beat Vidic and De Leat several times ..

Crouch, once he came one .. was even worse ..

i think if Harry used Bentley on left, with the same mistakes and still losing .. peopel would moan about why Bentley isn't on right as his natural position ..

my only arguement, Harry said before the start of the season, this carling cup is a chance to give some youngsters, why he didn't give yo

at the end of the day .. good we are knocked .. at least no 2 more games in jan. .. i hate Carling semi-finals, let alone F.A cup replays ..

This is getting really poor from the management - I mean the absence of any explanation about Gio not being in the squad after being officially announced as bank in full training last week. If he has had about a week's full training, surely he is fit enough for a place on the bench in a Carling Cup match, where the team manager said he wants to play people who "need matches".
Does Harry still think that Bentley is a better option than Gio? Why, why, why? Or is the young Rose now ahead of Gio too in Harry's plans?

About Keane and Crouch duo, I fully agree - they have been truly ineffective every time they played together.

Would that be the same Rose who was no great shakes at Posh in the Championship recently....?

According to physioroom, which you have to take with a certain amount of salt but is the only available source of info unless some decent ITK comes in, which it hasn't as far as Gio is concerned, he was due back on the 22nd. As he's been reported back in training, this appears to be correct. The obvious conclusion, of course, is that Harry doesn't rate him.

Why is it that every time someone criticises St. Harry we have a moronic argument like yours? You are pushing the criticism ad absurdum. The guy never said Harry was stupid, he said Harry makes mistakes. Even managers like Wenger, Mourinho and SAF make mistakes (which the fans of their teams duly point out), and good ol Harry is waaaay out of their league.

I don't think so. Just because he has been in training for a week doesn't mean he is fit and certainly not match fit. Isn't Luka in training too ?

Luka is in light training and only started running not so long ago. Gio was reported officially in full training last week. Was it so much of a risk to give him a place on the bench tonight, in Carling Cup match which was played like a friendly anyway?

Sorry, must make the sarcasm more obvious next time!

One assumes, yes—particularly if the ankle he damaged against Preston is the one he's had a long-term problem with.
