I thought this was going to be about squatting at the lane, maybe using Huddleston and Robbo’s old tops as a tent.

One of the few players over the last 10 years who you can say is a true spurs legend, i dont mean players who play one great season and then move. Robbie Keane is a spurs legend up there with Klinsmann and Teddy

Klinsmann great as he was falls into your one great season then moves collective though, all though he came back it was again only for a season before leaving again so doesn't fit in to your true spurs legends

Klinsmann is a great player, but should never be thought of as a Spurs legend, he simply didn't put the time in, two seasons at our club no matter how great you play cannot get you legend status in my opinion.

On the subject of legends - thought I'd share this from yesterday's Daily Star (yes, I know):

The city of Leicester is split over whether a £20,000 statue planned to honour Mahatma Ghandhi - the legendary spiritual and political leader known as the Father of India, whose non-violent resistance brought India to independence. He thereafter campaigned against poverty, for the liberation of women, and for brotherhood amongst India's many ethnic groups.

Now for the killer bit ---

"However, protesters argue that BBC soccer pundit and ex-England hero Gary Lineker is more deserving of being immortalised in stone, as he was born in Leicester, played for Leicester City, and now fronts ads for the City's Walker's Crisps firm."

Now I have a lot of time for Links.

But I think Gandhi's contribution to humanity is slightly greater. Now if Gary had broken Bobby Charlton's record...

But why a Gandhi statue in Leicester?

back to thread.

Great to hear, hope he does stay for the rest of his career. If he does he will become one of our greatest legends.
