1 not 3? 1 already gone so 2 left?
No. 1 already gone so 0 left. It was a one game ban. He'll be back in the starting lineup against Bolton at the weekend barring an injury in training.

A red card is an automatic one match ban, with a disciplinary panel meeting to decide if the ban should be extended for 'violent conduct' or the like. If the player is found guilty of violent conduct, he's usually banned for two more games. Dawson's ban was AFAIK not extended. Thanks, wasn't clear. Was confused, but noticed it's 3 only for straight red.
I am pretty sure he was talking about next year!! And I for one think he is right, Liverpool and City will continue to spend on big names big starts and quality players.I'll copy the reply I made to you on the front page ... not trying to hunt you down, I'm just fucking sick of this defeatist attitude.
I'm sorry, but what is it with this 'lucky to finish 6th' attitude these days? Yes, we've had a couple of poor results, and yes, the window didn't go the way we'd hoped, but I cannot for the life of me see how we're going to end up anywhere other than 5th this year if you look at the squads. The only team that might overtake us is Liverpool if they go on a run, but even then their defence is so ropey that I don't think a couple of new strikers automatically means they're better than us. Sunderland might challenge but without Bent I don't think they'll stay the distance.
Oh, btw, we're still six points ahead of Liverpool and WE have a game in hand.
Saying the future is grim is, I'm sorry, just moronic.
Also Arsenal went from 4-0 up to 4-4 draw, just like what we did couple seasons ago. It must feel like a loss so bad:
Especially against a Newcastle side suffering the loss of their best player (supposedly)
I think it was a great deal for Newcastle, £38 mil for a player who's max value is around £25mil.
Plus Leon Best is doing quite well for Newcastle and they have £38mil to spend on few or more signings.
That's the way I see it, surprised that people aren't making more out of the astronomical price tag for Carroll. Guess it's become the norm these days to pay well over the odds for English players - even £25million sounds quite generous
