I don't follow Serie A. I couldn't even tell you who won it this year. But I've heard of Fiorentina. What if they are a football fan but they don't follow Seria A?

Not convinced even that's true tbh. Most of what seems to be "known" about what's gone on with the Llama appears to be based on some pretty foundationless hearsay.(usually, maybe not with Lamela yet)
Have they been in the CL recently?I don't follow Serie A. I couldn't even tell you who won it this year. But I've heard of Fiorentina.
After the first two (who 'graduated' more than a decade ago, before our new facility was even on the drawing board), anyone else noticing a bit of a drop-off in quality there...?The research deemed a primary youth academy prospect to "belong" to a certain club if they had spent three or more years at the facility between the ages of 15 and 21.
For Manchester United, that meant the likes of Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Darren Fletcher, Jonny Evans, Tom Cleverley and Danny Welbeck all count as home-grown players, and the majority are now first-team regulars.
Other players to have come through the ranks at Old Trafford, only then to have moved on, include Stoke City defender Ryan Shawcross, Sunderland's Phil Bardsley and Everton's Phil Neville, while Paul Pogba left this summer for Juventus.
Dunno. I'm totally Spurs-centric. The only time I pay any attention to the CL is when we're in it.Have they been in the CL recently?
Unless people have heard about Batistuta how would someone know about them, if they haven't won anything or been in the CL?Dunno. I'm totally Spurs-centric. The only time I pay any attention to the CL is when we're in it.
Rui Costa, in my case.Unless people have heard about Batistuta how would someone know about them, if they haven't won anything or been in the CL?
Tom Cleverly, Wellbeck, Shawcross, Bardsley, Pogbra. Who have we produced? Who specifically is saying that our academy is as good as United? That article is a year old and its stats were based, in part, on players such as Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes. I don't think I need to tell you how long ago they came through the Utd academy.
We're talking about 2014. Not 1992. And, right now, Tottenham's academy is at least as highly rated as Utd's.
Peter Crouch, Andros Townsend, Steven Caulker, Ledley King..Tom Cleverly, Wellbeck, Shawcross, Bardsley, Pogbra. Who have we produced? Who specifically is saying that our academy is as good as United?
I'm sure they would have with Bale and Modric but with us not being in the CL and not winning anything I wonder how many people worldwide really want to follow us.Rui Costa, in my case.
I'm assuming over the years there have been a few stories in the foreign press about Ardiles, Villa, Gazza, Klinsmann, Bale, Modric, etc etc etc......
King and Crouch are not really that recent but the other two I'll grant you. I'll try and see if I can find out what other people are saying about our academy.Peter Crouch, Andros Townsend, Steven Caulker, Ledley King..
At the moment our youth academy is slightly better than Man UTD due to how well youth have been doing in there relative set-up. We also got a slight bit of information from someone who's brother works at Stoke and has said that us and Chelsea have the two best youth academy's in the country.
Granted Man UTD U21's got to the finals of the League against Chelsea and lost, but our team from what have read have lost tons of key players that were there last year, and our U18's were in the semi-finals for their respective League.
'Following' us and just being aware of us are different things though, no?I'm sure they would have with Bale and Modric but with us not being in the CL and not winning anything I wonder how many people worldwide really want to follow us.
It'd be interesting to know Windy's take on it.Peter Crouch, Andros Townsend, Steven Caulker, Ledley King..

Wouldn't class Bardsley as very recent either tbh but whatever floats your boat. Also got Livermore and Harry Kane granted HK just only starting to show capabilities in PLKing and Crouch are not really that recent but the other two I'll grant you. I'll try and see if I can find out what other people are saying about our academy.
Plus Townsend, Livermore, Bentaleb, Kane, Rose (yeah, I know - but still), Carroll, Pritchard...King and Crouch are not really that recent but the other two I'll grant you. I'll try and see if I can find out what other people are saying about our academy.
I think we've regularly turned out potential down the years it is the next step up which is the problemPlus Townsend, Livermore, Bentaleb, Kane, Rose (yeah, I know - but still), Carroll, Pritchard...
Most of those players haven't fully proven themselves yet - but we're certainly producing potential.
I was sure Andy Turner and Danny Hill were going to boss it.I think we've regularly turned out potential down the years it is the next step up which is the problem
