Now don't laugh but I was thinking we need to get a back up Goalkeeper immediately and Walker has premiership experience. We have a game on Saturday and Alnwick isn't up to it at this stage. Walker was released by Bolton in May and I don't think he found a new club. I'm sure he would accept whatever he could get and a felxible, short term contract could suit both sides.

I don't say that he is the answer to our prayers but surely he is better than what we have and if the window looks to close without us getting the back up we need he could be cover till the summer.

Before you all slate me this is an option if all else fails.

personally the day after Gomes got injured, I'd have told young Oscar we need him in the UK and he can go to Mexico for his holidays
