Give it a rest, he was a vile **** of a footballer, played for the scum and now just because he smiles a bit on tv we forget all that?
Fuck him, he's gooner scum and always will be.
Sure, I didn't like him when he played for them but blimey, that was a long time ago and since then, he's proven himself to be a balanced, decent chap.
He always tends to speak well of us too, even though you can tell he doesn't like doing it.
He and JJ were great on motd2 after the game.

Unlike some other ex-gooners, Wrighty is a good bloke.

Well said Wrighty, just proves what utter nonsense is served up from sky, Redknapp is utterly clueless. Embarrassing punditry, youd think he didn't like us or something....

I've never had a problem with Wrighty, the bloke is as normal as they come.

As said above, his Desert Island Discs was fascinating to listen to as well.

Hated him as a player but he's obviously a decent bloke and thoughtful and intelligent not just on football but a range of subjects.

I think it's worth pointing out Wright and JC both had. Strict defensive discipline drilled into them by Graham and Benitez respectively. Redknapp jr on the other hand played most of his career with the likes of Ruddock, and Julian Dicks behind him.

Wrighty has always been fair when discussing Spurs. He is on the NBC weekday shows all the time and has his own show with Kelly Cates on Thursdays. I always enjoy listening to him talk about Spurs and Arsenal since he is harder on others than Arsenal which makes it even more fun when they are terrible.

Overall I will admit he is top 5 for pundits IMO.

Redknapp said on Sunday, and I'm paraphrasing only slightly, "the only difference between the teams is Son and Kane. You put them in the Arsenal team and it's a different story." The inference seemed to be that Arsenal would have beaten us 2-0 if Son and Kane played for them.

As analysis, I could get that shit off some clown down the pub. "Spurs...they're just Son and Kane innit?" Doesn't take much brainpower to conjure that gem up.

What Redknapp seemed to miss entirely was that it wasn't just down to Son and Kane. Does he really think a Jose defence would have backed off a fella in form and allowed him to shoot completely unchallenged from 20 yards? Does he think that a Jose team would be caught 5 on 2 (or 3 even allowing for Partey)? Our organisation compared to Arsenal's naivety was a major reason for the result on Sunday.

How a man who played the game at the highest level and is paid to talk about it could miss that point and reduce it to an "everyman analysis" beggars belief.

I don't have Sky so I don't see much of their analysis but this is pathetic. Arsenal have one outstanding forward and a pretty decent other one. Their forwards aren't the problem. The problem is that they can't create chances for them. If you did what Redknapp suggested we'd have created Son's chance/goal for Aubameyang and he's more than capable of taking it. Put Kane and Son in that Arsenal team and they'd struggle. Anyone would.

I voted winner just because I wanted you to have the complete set of ratings - was cool to see it happen

I disagree though... i like Wrighty - man he played for Arsenal so what - big deal... whether he was a vile **** of a footballer - i cant recall that but even if he was - that was when he was a footballer... its called winning I guess.

I think what a lot of pundits are missing is theres a massive difference between a) watching your team sit deep in a disorganised shambles with the ball bouncing around the 6 yd box every second and your keeper making save after save after save and hoping you nick a goal, to b) looking totally in control.
Yes you can still concede and sometimes it'll go wrong but when we do attack we're fkin deadly and we're scoring great goals, winning games.
I used to dread conceding a corner. Any freekick in the last 3rd was a panic attack.
Theres nothing unpleasant about watching your team totally in control and winning games.
