...and did a 'Vincent Tan' (changed the club colours, badge, and applied to change the club name to London Spurs) what would you do?

Would you carry on supporting the team regardless? Boycott the club? Protest?

If you did protest, would it affect your relationship with other fans that continued to go to games and buy the new kits? Would you just give up on football, or would you roll with the punches?

Plenty of people have mentioned a situation like this as a warning about wanting Levy and ENIC replaced, but I've never seen any discussion of how people would react to such a scenario.

I'm not a super massive purist. I wouldn't like it at all, but I'd still support London Spurs just as much

I'd hate it but if we want to change modern football we all need to unite and force those changes through.

That will never happen though. People enjoy the spectacle too much and the modern fan doesn't give a shit about how his team buys players or wins trophies.

For that reason I'd have to reluctantly just roll with the punches and helplessly watch the sport drift further and further away from what it used to be... :(

Were this to happen, then I'd personally set up a badly argued, poorly spelled petition on change.org.

I'm sure the good denizens of Spurs Community would all sign it and then, together, we could shame the tyrant and take back our club.

Yay.

I support Tottenham Hotspur and always will do.
I think the question he's trying to raise is how far could the clubs identity be changed and still remain the club you support and love in your eyes?

I mean if the club was relocated to Paris and named le Paris Hotspur and played in red would they still be our club?

To me MK Dons are a different new team from the wimbledon before them

There are lines for each of us I am sure and this would vary person to person

Boycott the club, launch Toohottenham Hotspur and sign Micky Hazard to coach.

Edit
Oh and before I forget, I'd lobby SC to switch from London Spuds to Toohottenham Hotspur

I don't want to see Enic leave. I think they've turned us into a much better club than when they first took over. Levy has made mistakes with his managerial appointments but that's about it really.
I wouldn't like to see an oil tycoon come in and throw money at us (although that's the only real way we're ever going to challenge the top teams)
I think if we get LVG it'll be a new period for our beloved spurs. I think that he'll create a structure that will see us good for years to come. If that's the case, this season will soon be forgotten and people will once again be happy with Levy.
We are a fickle lot who just want to do right by our club!

Violence.

If he/she made us play in red, lost the badge changed the name. I would react violently.

I would hunt you down in Bristol for starting the whole ball rolling.

Knowing our luck the tyrant won't do any of the above but will bring back Timmy as a Steve Kean football figurehead agent bait type geezer for his second stint in the dugout stands...

TBH in response to OP i think it is unreasonable for fans to have a negative view on ownership they disagree with; whether it's rich individuals or otherwise.

Reason is simple. There are no freebies. You can't pay for a season ticket and expect the club to turn the way you want it to; compared to someone who has paid millions.

If fans were so against this then form a company and buyout the club. But we don't. So we can't argue.

Come and support Toohottenham Hotspur, we'll play in white shirts and blue shorts

Our team has already changed beyond recognition. Sign of the times.

It's the history, the former glory, the name and the badge that I love.

With all the United's, City's, Rovers and Wanderers there is only one Hotspur.

If Tan took over though he'd call us Tottenham Hotsperm and say it appeals to all the randy ladies around the world
